1. Don't run for public office. You won't stand the heat.
2. What appears to be the same question is actually a totally different question the next time it is asked after other information has become available.
3. Never complain when you are asked a question because when the questions stop you are no longer important.

Nice way of saying you don't agree with anything I just said. Of course that was my point as well.

So here's an idea, since you don't agree with anything I say, stop asking me questions. Please!

I know Mr. Marcus disagrees with a lot of the things I say, but so far I don't think he's asked me anything directly. I have to respect that. Also, most of my conflict with MrMarcus has been on original topics, which is at least mildly engaging. Our discussions are on the same thing over and over and over and over. I have lost interest.

You ask my opinion directly and then completely ignore it or dispute it. This is honestly a first in my whole life. I simply have no experience with someone like yourself. It's just not normal to ask advice from someone if you have no intention of following it or listening to them.

I'm used to people asking me for advice.

I'm used to dispute.

I'm am not used to both simultaneously.

I already left your site. Consider this our last communication. I have neither the time nor the inclination to engage in discussion with someone such as yourself.

As Frank stated, it has nothing to do with asking questions. It has to do with asking the same questions even after you've received the same answer many times. But, it also goes further than that. You keep making the same assertions even after what you assert has been proven wrong. I think I know why on both counts.

You make no effort to listen. I suspect that is part of the reporter in you. You were paid to have others respond but not to understand or even hear what they say. You've continued with that approach in your internet life.

However, you are often dealing on a 1-1 basis here. There really is no audience (although others have the ability to read the responses). That means people expect you to listen to what they say since it does seem strange that you would ask about something without caring about the response.

Gee, I can't imagine who posted this. Must have met his win goal.

...However, none of this has been more entertaining than Frank's scientific analysis of the Mendelson syndrome. Kudos. Another pinnacle.

I had the same epiphany this morning about the reporter aspect of Money's background, and was in the process of wondering if that might have been the cause for what seemed to me as odd behavior. Then I read your post, and read what I was thinking at exactly that second. It was weird. I had not thought of this before today. If we are right, we should be understanding to Money, who is only a product of his environment.

I'm not comfortable with talking about someone I'm not talking with, so that will be my only remaining comment on the subject.

I wish him the best and may his own life be his best story. ~FK

There is an addendum that has nothing to do with Money. As a book author, I suppose I should be happy about stuff like conflict, questions, and anything that generates publicity regardless of the effect my words are having. That just not why I do it.

I think you're right. I always just assumed he was just a doofus, but it's really more like a reporter caught up in his own Groundhog Day nightmare in which he relives the same interview over and over, day after day, but, unlike Bill Murry, without ever learning from the prior day.

Kind of sad, really. It reminds me of a story I saw (maybe 20/20?) where a guy "kept his memory in a box behind the sofa". He had a brain injury in his mid 20s that destroyed his ability to transfer from short term memory to long term memory. He was fine throughout the day, but once he awoke the next day he had no memories of yesterday, or any of the yesterdays leading back to the injury. Beyond that his memory was unaffected. He kept journals of his daily activity, detailing and indexing interactions with friends, and kept the journals in a box behind the sofa. Before meeting up with a friend he would review his journals to catch up on recent history with that friend in order to emulate as close as possible to remembering having lunch together last week and the conversations they had so he could continue the conversation rather than repeat the same conversation over and over.

You're right Frank, we need to be more understanding.

It would have been funnier if you'd said, "what do you mean by 'understanding'?"

If there was such a thing as the award for post of the year this one would be my vote.

Maybe now Money will get the hint and leave this board like he promised.

DonDiego is not used to people asking him for advice.

This is pr'bly beneficial to both parties.

Other information has become available since the promise was made.
