By your command...

Changed to "Nearing Completion of Evaluation of RS system (not)".

P.S. I did not know one could change the thread title or I would have done it sooner. Thanks for cluing me in.
I really thought I was close to finishing my eval of the RS system when I started this thread, but what we have stumbled upon is nothing less than the root cause for most of the disagreement in society in microcosm. As I see it, the primary reason people in this thread cannot agree or even understand each other is because not only is WHAT they believe divergent, HOW they believe differs as well.

It will never be possible to agree on what is true until consensus is reached on a criteria for truth, and the process by which it is achieved.

Imagine our legal trial system without evidentiary rules on what was and was not admissible...or if all testimony was considered "expert" with no regard to the credentials of the witnesses. Well you don't have to "imagine" too hard, we are seeing a reasonable facsimile here.

If you choose to ignore the rules of logic, epistemology, syllogism, the scientific method, etc...I see no end in sight, or resolution ever being reached.

I strongly recommend you all take a step back from the issues being debated and first discuss the rules for debating, and what is considered proof.

That is of course assuming anyone actually wants resolution. Currently you are all playing a baseball game to the best of "N" innings with no overtime rule even required, since nobody bothered to set "N" to less than infinite.
Frank, it is good to see you finally agreeing with the session model. Baseball is not an infinite continuum. It is made up of 162 sessions per annual regular season.

I feel we are making great progress.

I hate it when that happens.

I think you just finished your evaluation.

Kaypea if your bankroll is $200 then you're not being fair to me or yourself.

I was saying $200 was my win goal. I came to Vegas in the spring and hit a $200 win the first day and had to sit by the pool for three days until it was time to go home. Then I return in the fall and lose that $200 again. I might as well kept playing and enjoyed my spring trip. Taking that $200 home did me no good since I returned just to lose it. I should have stayed home and never gambled again. That is the only way I would have kept the win.

Humor me and try my experiment. Record five sessions of 100 plays in each and tell me if you're not ahead at least once in your sessions. Please no crazy high variance games.

Actually that is pretty close to my normal way of playing. Sometimes I'm up and sometimes I'm down. Every time I'm up I'll take a break and go to the bathroom. I'll look in the mirror and yell "You're a winner!". That's how I enjoy the win before heading back into the casino so the pendulum can swing back the other way.

If by "progress" you mean, "two steps forward and three steps back", then yes I agree.

Hay, maybe if I turn around and walk backwards I can make forward progress that way. Thanks for the suggestion!

Say, I just came to the sudden and unexpected realization that I've never had an epiphany.
In a recent post on another forum there was conjectured that I have been posting for advertising and marketing value to increase my book sales. I have always said I post mostly for recreation and perhaps to help out in reducing problem gambling as a form of community service. This should be easy enough to test. I've started a new thread and I'd like anyone that has bought my book as a result of seeing my posts on this forum to chime in there.

It's entitled, "Frank's Book Purchase Survey".

Thanks!
Frank, do you actually feel the need to prove Singer wrong about this point? Why would you care? It's not the first stupid statement he made and it sure as hell won't be his last. There is no way in this lifetime you will actually be able to change the way he thinks. He already has all the answers..........
