Well, what's really going on?

Once again, I find myself disagreeing with your statements. YOU are definitely not impartial.

And there are many on this forum that are not against Singer, they just disagree with some/much of what he says or claims. Or they are against many of the things he says because of the way he says them. His "personality".

As for a "good idea about what's really going on", well, anyone with some intelligence and who comprehends what they read may have that same "idea". There is a plethora of forums, messages, columns, articles, etc online, and more information than you may have.

I have never met Singer. I have no desire too because, after reading many of his articles, columns, and forum messages, he does not present a personality I would want or choose to spend time with.

There is enough hate in this world, too much prejudice, for me to want to spend time with someone who displays traits I don't like or agree with. Vengeful or hateful messages about people are something I find distasteful.

Yet, I still "read" many of his messages, because I may learn something. I definitely do not agree with many things he's stated. But, so what. I don't hate the man either.

I actually go out of my way to try to give people the benefit of the doubt when possible.

But I will also say what I believe or know to be the truth.

Snidely what is going on is this: Rob agreed to talk to Frank so Frank could learn about Rob's play. Rob tells me that after face to face meetings, endless emails and phone conversations Rob says Frank never asked Rob about his play, strategy and system. Instead Frank, according to Rob, only gave Rob psychological "essay questions" which Rob said he would not answer.

Rob respects Frank for his knowledge of video poker but will not take part in psychological "exams" from someone who is not a psychiatrist or a psychologist or even graduated from college.

Frank has told me that he is consulting with professionals including, he said, a family counselor in Henderson.

Frank has also told me that I am an addicted gambler and I need immediate psychiatric help and he has warned Rob that he may be suicidal.

OY VAY. That's what's going on.

I hope Frank is wrong if you heard Frank correctly. Sometimes we don't hear everything that is said in its full context.

I don't think I'm doing much if any good posting on this forum and if anything my presence here is causing conflict. This is diametrically opposed to my intent for posting in the first place. All this he said, she said stuff is waring on me.

I really enjoy sharing info I've read about in recent books, or sharing my experience as a pro gambler if it helps people. We aren't doing that here and I'm certainly not getting any recreational value from all this strife.

Mostly, all people want to talk about is other people, and if it's negative so much the better. That's certainly not how I like to spend my free time.

I'll see you all in a different thread in a few days. My conflict tolerance level has been reached.

Frank if it makes you feel any better, I think you are a nice guy and I think many people would agree to that as well.

I am not "arguing", that is your choice (and an interesting one) of words.

As for my mind being "made up", yes, I am firm and steadfast in many of my opinions and willing to stand behind them.

If you mean my mind is made up re: RS, it is, but only on certain and specific topics. I found some of message "tirades" against individuals to be classless, regardless of the "provocation". My "attitude" toward those types of messages is not reserved for RS. There are many others who also spout offensive verbiage, personal attacks, are disrespectful, and I have my mind made up re: any of those types of messages. Generally, I just don't consider that person as being "nice", and most likely someone I would choose not to spend time with in person.

If you mean my mind is made up specifically on the SPS versus math and probabilities issue, It is. I believe that "life" is one long session, including pauses, breaks, vacations, or bathroom breaks. I have seen not scientific proof, no mathmatical proof, that my belief is wrong.

Semantics and unorthodox definitions will, most likely, not change my mind.

I also believe in Karma, Lady Luck, and that there will always be someone who "wins", someone who seems to to have Lady Luck on their shoulder. There will always be someone who defies the odds.

This is proven regularly. The lottery winner. The fire bet at craps. The person at Caribbean Stud who hits a Royal the first time they ever play the game and only bet the bonus because "everyone" told them to.

I also know that if it looks like fish, and smells like fish, and tastes like fish, it sure as heck is not a roast beef sandwhich.

So when I read something someone has written that is inconsistent with something written by them previously, if the evidence does not add up, than I must weigh what is being said, and wonder just how credible that person is.

If you mean my mind is made up against anything RS, or "others" may write, it is NOT! I may learn something that will benefit me. But, I always consider the source.

Frank has studied problem gambling and is a recognized gambling authority. If he really said you need immediate psychiatric help, you should take that very seriously.

If Frank really suggested that Rob might be suicidal, then I hope Rob takes that seriously as well.

I don't find either of these suggestions surprising.

Sorry that you have let this thread "get to you". I sincerely hope that you continue with your project, and that we will see your completed evaluation shortly.

Although it is quite possible that you promised project will not change the mind of any, or many, it would still be worthwhile reading, educational and informative for those who would take the time to read and understand what it says.

I have the feeling that there are some who fear your evaluation, those who denigrate your efforts because they know or suspect the results will not be favorable.

OTOH, I know that whatever your summation is, it will be clear and unbiased.

Unlike this thread and some of those who have participated in the discussion along the way.

JMHO, of course.

i bet a shrink could help with that whole pathological lying thing youve got going on.
