Need help planning a challenging vegas trip

Planning a trip in January (MLK weekend) with relatives who have not been to vegas in years. Now this sounds easy but here is the challenge: They don't really gamble, don't drink and they are vegetarians. We plan on staying downtown at fitzgeralds. We will have transporation so were mobile. I just need to plan things for the 3 days we are there.

Any suggestions for sightseeing and food choices would be appreciated.
First suggestion would be leave the relatives home, but assuming this is not an option:

Watch the casino's and all their free shows or some paid things like the shark tank, habitat at Mirage, etc.
rides on top of stratosphere
Neon boneyard museum
pinnball hall of fame
Lake Mead/ Grand Canyon
Lose the cell phone and ditch 'em daily.
Gawd!
Like taking Monks to a strip club.
I would be like "Go look around, I'll be in this aisle/general area when you get back"
Agree with other lovely posters.... why are they going to Vegas????

Let them book some tours while you excuse yourself to the casinos.

He didn't say anything about his relatives' aversion to strip clubs or, for that matter, a limousine-ride to the whorehouses.

And after the limousine delivers them back to their hotel, . . . here's one man's guide to Vegan Dining in Las Vegas. Ronald's Donuts looks especially appealing, offering vegan donuts.

Or, instead, the group could hop a Southwest flight to Salt Lake City, dine at Sage's Cafe (It's vegetarian and organic !), visit the Tabernacle, and convert to Mormonism.
are they vegetarians or full on vegans? If they are just vegetarians (they eat dairy but just not meat) most restaurants and any buffet is going to have options for them. If they are full on vegans (basically just eat sprouts and berries) it will be a lot more challenging.

as for the no gambling thing, what do they want to go to Vegas for. Do they have specific things they want to see? Are they making you responsible for planning their activities? Depending on how close their relation to you is (3rd cousin yes, mom and dad no) you should make it clear that you would love to meet up with them for dinner, but you are going to gamble and they are free to spend their time as they wish.

Why would people like that EV-vah go to Vegas ??????????????

It's like bringing someone who has a fear of the water and sunburns easily to an island resort.

Don't drink ? ........ tell them to live it up a little while in Vegas, and to buy a bottle of flavored water.
Don't gamble ? ....... tell them to go out and sit by the pool, and not to forget their blankets and hot cocoa.
Don't eat meat ? ........ tell them to order the deep fried Oreos and Twinkies, while you're dining in the steak house.

I'm surprised they don't have a fear of flying too.

This should make for a fasinating Trip Report

Rick
Several years ago, I took a non-gambling friend to Vegas. On the way to our Hotel( Harrahs) we stopped at Luxor. This was back when they had the Stygian boatride, and then walked thru Excaliber. That first afternoon, we walked the Canals of Venice, had a cocktail in St Marks Square, did the Race for Atlantis( then the worlds only 3-D virtual roller coaster), ran into Peter Max at his studio, saw the Pirate show at Treasure island, and ended in the courtyard at Harrahs-watching the then current world champion flair bartender work his stuff.
Saw Mac King the next afternoon and went downtown for The FSE that nite.

If they are just vegetarians, they can each pick up a pint of chocolate milk on the way to Ronald's Donuts.

Perhaps the all you can eat, organic and natural Vegan Tofu Buffet?

Don't know if there are any coupons available in the 2012 MRB, which may be available before your trip.
