Need a little help from the board's technology geeks

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge phone. When I text people, I used to use the little microphone, whereby I could dictate my message, rather than typing out the message. In a recent software update, the look of the texting screen changed and the microphone is now gone.

When I Google the topic, there are some hits, that say you can get it back. One of them says to hold down the space bar for three seconds. That doesn't work. Another one has me going into the settings, but I was unable to locate the link they said to press.

Does anybody know the answer?

Thanks in advance.
Don't you just LOVE updates???
Not sure if they are the same but this works on my S4:

Settings >
Personal:Language and input >
Swipe (click settings icon) >
Settings (again) >
Voice and Handwriting (check the box "Show Voice Key").

Good Luck

I have all of those commands and the "Show Voice Key" is marked, but it still doesn't show up on the keyboard.

sometimes if you don't see the microphone image on the keyboard, it may be found in the url field.
You can use Message + if you have Verizon. It has the microphone built in.
I'm sure your carrier hosts a Galaxy S6 specific message board. Ask your question there and I bet they'll have an answer.
