Neon Boneyard

I just got back from Vegas, one of my stops was the Neon Boneyard. The cost is $18, and the tour is almost an hour. Waste of money. Most of the old signs are not there, the size of the yard is the size of about a little
less than 1/2 of a football field. The bone yard is on Las Vegas Blvd about 4 blocks from Freemont street downtown or 2 blocks pass the 93 freeway. They have other signs that are not displayed. Save your money.
Thanks, was thinking of going there, but not now.
Good to know.

The size is half a football field and the tour took one hour?
Do they light up the neon? Or is it just a junkyard of old signs?

I could be persuaded to see it with a half off coupon. $18 seems pretty steep.

As I recall, the signs are donated but most require extensive and expensive repairs, and the organization is non-profit. The only sponsor they show on their web site is the Caesars Foundation, which states it is funded by a percentage of the operating income of their properties and it doesn't seem that Caesars probably has a lot to give of late. So while the $18 does seem somewhat high, bear in mind it is at least in part a donation to their cause.
I saw the boneyard when they first opened a few years ago, across the street from the present location. Was just like a real junkyard, piles and pieces of signs everywhere. But the signs that survived were amazing and the tour guides had a brilliant grasp of Las Vegas history. Took a ton of excellent photos. Was definitely worth the $15 back then. Planning on taking the night tour at the "new" place on our next trip.
The weekend before Christmas they used to have the Neon Boneyard open and for a donation you could check it out. It was worth the $10. Not sure if they still do the donation weekend or not, but if your in Las Vegas that weekend it would be worth checking.
They do have some cool stuff though.
