Well I finally watched this thing, and there's a lot to talk about!

I actually thought Cathy's dance was a highlight! At least she has a fun side, unlike some of the other stuck-up moms. But you're right, no way in hell would the MOAL (Morbidly Obese Abby Lee) be making me dance in front of anyone. See the MOAL's reaction when they suggested she replace Omarosa in the routine?

Maddie is easily the best dancer in the group. They didn't need to bring in Broadway Agent Flamehawk (he's not ambiguously gay, hes FLAMING GAY! Plus he has a mohawk) to teach us that. Chloe is probably the best of the rest, but her mother is completely insane.

Resuming our analysis, there was one sound bite that I can't get out of my head. It's where one of the moms states that Abby always says that dance is more important than school.

WTF??? If any coach, of any sport, anywhere ever says this, you need to go somewhere else, and FAST!! This is the kind of thing that turns blue states into red states. Less than 1% of any group of dancers is ever going to make any real money as a professional dancer, even if you are in the great Abby Lee School.

From what I've seen so far, there is one student (Maddie) with any real potential. The rest just aren't going to make it. This is reality. They're dancing for the fun of it, even if they don't realize it yet.

If they put school first, they can choose whatever they want. If they choose to listen to The MOAL, then eventually they will end up tattooed, pierced, and stuck in a jail cell in Barstow due to multiple arrest warrants.

I was talking about this show and all child stars (or wanna-be's). I said that maybe 5% will make it weather they are in dance, sports, singing, etc. Most simply lose interest or rebel against their stage moms.

Well it's Tuesday night, which can only mean mean one thing.

There's so much to discuss. I don't even know where to start. I'll just jump in. Did you notice how quiet Nia's mom was during the Botox discussion?. Probably because she didn't want to admit she already does it. And what's with that frizzed out chunk of Cathy's hair? She's the last one that should be giving advice on looking good at 40. And what about MOAL's dog? I guess it should be named MOBB (Morbidly Obese Broadway Baby). That dog needs some exercise and to cut back on the Snausages. Cathy is a selfish bitch. I can't believe she took the costume away at the last second and then said that the Abby Lee girls sickle their feet. I have never seen them sickle their feet. Their technique is awesome. And did you notice MOAL kind of dancing along to Chloe's solo practice?

I also think the whole qualifying for nationals thing was BS. Like I said before, my daughter is starting her first year in competitive dance this year but they already know they're going to nationals next July. I think you pay the entry fee and you're in. And guess what national competition it is.....................Starpower! I just might get to see the MOAL after all.

So, when should I start my thread about The Real Dance Mom of Pierce County? Do you want to follow the whole year as I get hit with horrifyingly expensive bills, go to local competitions, and bond with dance moms that are totally threatened by my daughters mad skills. Or, do you just want a trip report of the national competition? Tomorrow morning should be interesting. My daughter has a rehearsal at the old studio that we just left after 10years. She has one more performance with the old group and then she's off to the new studio. This will be the first time that we've seen them since we told them Olivia was quitting. We weren't going to tell any of the other students but word got out anyway. I was hoping that she could get away with not showing up in September and nobody would notice she was gone until it was too late to move themselves. For one, I've become friends with her old teachers and I know how tough the economy is and I don't want to see them lose business. And two, I don't want the kids she's trying to escape from to jump ship too. I'll let you know how that turns out. I'm sure you'll be on the edge of your seats;-)
