Never Thought I'd See the Day

When I wouldn't be excited for a Vegas trip. I'll be there July 3-11. I'm not too excited because I'm the only adult travelling with two teenage girls. They'll be busy all day with dance rehearsals and stuff and I'm worried that I'll be bored. Especially if the slots are tight. I do have a car so I plan on driving around and seeing things I haven't seen before. Maybe Red Rock or Hoover Dam. Any ideas for killing time while travelling solo? I don't have a huge budget but it's decent.
You could try to visit every viewey place...Like Stratosphere, Eiffle Tower, Voodoo Lounge, Ghostbar, miX, Mandarin Oriental Bar....etc....

Some people also like those spa things. I don't spa well. I don't want them to touch me.

If it was me, I'd seriously consider a strip club but then settle in on a couple of afternoon shows and maybe some high-end cocktails or the two zip lines.
that is a great idea -- every viewey place, I like it. Julie said "if" the slots are tight. when aren't they? most of my trips to vegas have been solo and I have no problem keeping busy, in fact the time gets away from me. at any rate, have a great time Julie g.
Red Rock is beautiful, pool time? have you been DT to container park. Use the LVA or ACG book to try some new casinos. Grand and Tuscany both have nice sign up bonuses. Do a coupon run.

Most of all win big and have fun what every you do.

Hoover Dam and the bridge overlooking the dam. Malls are a great place to people watch. If you look there is always something to do in Vegas, but plan it out ahead of time.
Relax in the Petrossian Bar at Bellagio. Maybe do their version of high tea.

Ask for a "quiet table", or enjoy the crowd outside.

A harpist plays around 4-5 pm in the Conservatory.

But do it mid week...too busy on weekends.
I have three words for you:

"KISS mini golf"
I think going to the "viewy places" and perhaps having a drink at a few sounds like a cool idea. Find a nice spot at the bar or table to sit,sip and realx while taking in the vegas strip, geez, I'm ready to go do that now . Maybe add the fountains into the mix, actually I think I'd forgo the Eiffel tower(unless you haven't done it) and go sit for lunch somewhere at Bellagio watching the water. That's something we've never done, always on the list just never get to it.
Anyways, enjoy Julie, I'm sure you'll busy yourself somehow. Oh, and ,you're right, the last several times we've tried any slots(well my wife anyway) they were tighter than a snare drum. No fun to play at all. A person should at least get 15-20 minutes play/enjoyment from a 20$.
It's going to be HOT so I would concentrate on places with air conditioning. Probably not a good time to go to Hoover Dam unless you are staying in the car.
Is there such a thing as slot tournaments anymore? I've done a few in Reno but have never seen them in Vagas. I did just get a coupon for some free play at The D so I guess I'll go there. I went to the container park last time but I remember something smelling really good so I'll go there too. Hopefully, my rental car won't get hit this time.
