New computer question

Yep, I'm pretty computer ignorant and I would appreciate some help. How do I save my favorites on my thumb drive to put on my new comp.? Bonus if they actually work on the new computer haha. That's what happened last time, I got all of the titles of my favorites moved, but they were unclickable. Help?
Windows Easy Transfer may do the job for you (while transferring all your data as well). Click on the Start Button and select Accessories followed by System Tools and then select Windows Easy Transfer. You should also be able to google "Windows Easy Transfer" to get more information.
Are you talking pictures that you want to save ?

If you're using Internet Explorer on both machines you can go to File-Import/Export and export your favorites to a file. Then transfer the file to your new machine and go to File-Import/Export and import your favorites there.

I'm doing the same thing.
In the past I would just have the IT dept. come to the house and do it all for me. But, I have just been told that I cannot do this, it's a mis-use of services. It sucks no longer being the boss.

I believe I have a lot of corrupted files on my system. If I use Windows easy transfer will I have the same problems with the bad files on the new computer?
All I really need to save are pictures and videos. I would like to save all e-mails but they are backed up on company's server so it's not that important. Shortcuts and keeping things familiar would be convenient.
If you use Chrome, and are signed in with Google, you don't have to do anything. Just run Chrome on any other computer or phone, and your bookmarks will show up automatically. In addition, even if you open a page on your computer without bookmarking it, you'll easily be able to access that page from Chrome on your phone.
Open up IE click on file (ie 8 or below) and click on export and follow the prompts. IE 10 click on the star click on the drop down menu on add to favorities and choose the import/export and follow the prompts.
