Has anyone been to the new Margaritaville themed gambling area at the Flamingo. I saw a few pics. but was wondering if anyone on the FFA had been there yet? If you were there what's your opinion?
IMO it's just another casino with a little bit of "theme". It's narrow, not big and runs parallel with the Strip.
One thing, for some who might be interested, it did have its own gambling chips that say "Margaritaville" on them. I thought they might be using the Flamingo chips.

I thought it was an improvement. I'm not sure what was in that space previously, but this seems to be a better use of space.
There were people walking on stilts, trying to create atmosphere.
I also noticed that they have turned off that idiotic carnival barker PA at O'Shea's.
But it seems to me that whole area will undergo some major changes and I'm not sure how that new casino area will fit in when they really start making those changes. It may be that they plan to remove it again. I'm just thinking there will be a significant problem with pedestrian traffic in that area.
There about a week ago. Really good drink service. Party atmosphere. The tables looked like fun. Played a few slots. Didn't hit anything. Only one change kiosk that didn't work so had to walk back in to the main casino.
