New use for Terrible's coupon

Our local casino is running a promotion this month where if you bring in a competitors free slot play coupon they will match it up to $100. I printed off both mine and my wifes Terrible's coupon and made copies of them. We took the copies to the casino and they gave us each $100 in free play. I still have the original coupon I printed so I can use it on our next trip too!
Wow, very nice! Congrats on the good score!
I have a feeling that you will be only able to use it once if it's loaded into their system. Multi-use and abuse of coupons is why all the great matchplays and slot coupons are just another Vegas memory.

Wow.

The original message was about how he "used" the Terrible's coupon to show at his local casino to take advantage of an offer in his local casino, and that he also kept the original to use at Terrible's on his next trip.

Yet you have tried to troll the original message from a possible tip to others whose local casino may have a similar promotion into a match play abuse issue, and have decided to blame the lack of many more matchplay coupons than you would like on the shoulders of those who multi use and abuse coupons.

And you know that those multi users and abusers are the reason "great matchplays and slot coupons are just another Vegas memory" HOW?

Since slot coupons are "ALL" on the machines and through the computer, it has been quite awhile (years) since they could be abused.

Perhaps it is the economy. Perhaps it is the casinos. Perhaps it is the coupon publishers. Perhaps there are other factors involved in the apparent lack of match play coupons.

Blaming coupon abusers for the lower quality and quantity of them is not the real reason behind their demise. The hotels have eliminated or reduced them in their own fun books. Other publications also find the offers reduced or eliminated.

There is more to this issue than meets the eye. But it was easy, real easy for you to blame it on Multi use and abuse as the only reason. It's not.

But it was easy to say and got your point across. Oh, what was your point?

Great use of "double dipping". It's a win-win for all. You get free slot play, the casino matching the offer gets good brand loyalty and a possible new customer. And Terribles will get the benefit of your business next time you're in town also. Everyone should be happy with that. :-)

Well done - the frugal Queen (Jean Scott) would no doubt applaud your efforts...

Atta boy buff!
No. The way it sounds to me he is going to try to use the coupon again at his local casino. That is abuse. Just some of the pit bosses why they don't have as many coupons as they used to. It's because of this.

BTW, he said he is going to use the coupon on his next trip (to the local casino?) not to Terrible's (your words).

The reason Ellis Island stopped letting locals use the $10 matchplay was because of abuse. One of the pit bosses told me that one guy brought in 40 coupons one day and tried to play them all. I know that this guy was a moron, but it's just one way that people screw this up for everybody.

Remember, I work in a casino and see the scams all the time.

The way it sounds to the rest of us is that he was saying that he still has his original coupon which he plans to use on his next [Vegas] trip.
I was sitting on the sideline of this thread until now when I felt compelled to join in the discussion. Nope, I don't consider this senerio to be coupon abuse. The original poster clearly indicated that his local casino was honoring competitor's coupon. I don't perceive that to be abuse. I also understand that the original poster also intends to use the coupon (original or master copy) at Terrible's on a future visit. Again I don't perceive that to be abuse as well. I too am upset though that some people abuse coupon use and screws things up for the rest of us but I don't see the logic in how this circumstance constitutes coupon abuse. Is it because the original poster made a copy of the coupon and that is why it is considered to be "abuse" in your mind? I'm just trying to wrap my mind around this scenerio to make some sense of how this is might be construed to be coupon abuse.
Im surprised that they will accept a photo copy. When I get those offers, it usually reads to bring in the actual certificate. But I guess policies vary by casino.

My gripe is with the Golden Nuggett which sends me offers to double what I get from a competitor. So when I call them and tell them that I get XXXX from Caesars they say they will double it or triple it but will give me that over THREE DAYS, whereas with Caesars I usually stay only one night.
