New V/P e-mail

You may not be staying with us, but that doesn't mean you can't experience thrilling gaming, world-class cuisine, Broadway-caliber shows, and shopping like nowhere else on the planet. If those aren't enough reasons to visit us on your next trip, we've got a special offer just to sweeten the deal.

As our gift to you for being a Grazieā„¢ member, the next time you're in town but not staying with us, stop by a Grazie desk for your $20 in Slot Credits or Table Match Play. If you earn 2,250 Grazie Points on the same in one day, we'll give you an additional $40 in Slot Credits or Table Match Play. Come back again the next day for the same great offer; in fact, you can redeem this offer on up to four separate days! Plus, earn up to 9% of your theoretical win back each time you play. You can redeem your Slot Rewards Points for free play or on-property Resort Comps*. To view your current status, visit clubgrazie.com with your ID #.

So stop by for a gondola ride, have an amazing meal, and play to your heart's content with this great package made exclusively for you!

All the best,

For V/P to give me twenty dollars just to walk into their place when I have chosen to stay somewhere else is pretty tempting, but I have already decide to never walk into their establishments again. Until P/V invites me back with a free room as Mlife and CET does.

Does V/P miss the money us average Joe's pumped into their machines when we had comped rooms? From this e-mial that both my wife and I received, I think so!

Soomth move Sheldon!!!
I got the same email. this was the first thing I had received from them other than the $129 weekday BS since they called me the day before my trip in February to 'uncomp' me
You're a better man than I, winwin, I think I'd take the F/P (all 4 days, if they let me) without spending a nickel, not for the money but to get my message across.
Of course you should take the money... but they expect you to stick around to play for the extra 2,250 points. So, since I dont know their system, what does it take to get 2,250 points? and how much could that cost you? Im guessing they will make back whatever they give you up front if you dont leave immediately.

a point on VP is $2.50 coin in if you are gold, $3.00 if you are not.

for slots $1 gets you a point and a half if you are gold, one point if you are not.

After what they did, I still don't plan to darken their door again, not even for $20 in free play. and I certainly won't put in $9000 coin in just for a little more free play.

Money, the OP isn't obligated to play for the additional $40 in fp although I realize that this is the V/P's intention.

Despite how stupid they were for alientating players, I'm not sure why someone wouldn't walk in, play the $20 through once and leave. To me, that would be the obvious way to rub it in their face.
The real question is this open to every Grazie member or just the select few who received the email? I am a member and played a little there last mont but I did not receive their email. I will be there later in the week and I will try to see if I can redeem this offer at the desk. I am not against free play in whatever form they want to give it.
i wouldn't play the $20 and leave because my vegas trips are usually pretty short and I don't have time to hoof it to the Venetian from wherever I am staying, stand in line to get my free play, run $20 coin in through, take the profit and return to whatever I was doing. chances are I would walk away with some amount less than $20 and that just isn't worth the time to me. Someone might walk away feeling like they had really stuck it to V/P, but I know they (V/P) really just don't give a rat's ass.
Yes, I agree with Dan. If you want to hurt em, take their 20 bucks of free play and leave. what will you lose, some shoe leather walking in or walking over from Wynn?

After MGM/Ballagio/NYNY threw me out for my craps play, I got in the mail $100 CASH offer from another MGM property. No play, no stay required, just bring in the slip to the cage and get a hundred bucks. I did that. I got my hundred and walked out the door.
Karen, yes, I didn't consider your points....all very valid. In our case, we're there anyway....not a big jump to pop in and take the money....we're not a particular schedule. It's a personal decision to weigh up. If time allowed, I would do it because it tells them you're in town, opted not to stay there and burning them for the $20. The money won't hurt them but I think if enough people do it, it might hit their marketing radar and someone may ask "what's going on here?". Just my 2 cents.

Money, I'm with you.....I would do it in a heartbeat....I've done a lot more for a lot less! LOL
