New Valley Forge, PA casino access rules

Never heard of this before but the casino is not open to the general public. You need to "qualify" to gain access to the casino floor and their 600 slot machines and 50 table games.

The annual membership costs $59 and comes with a free dinner.

Valley Forge Casino Resort offers a variety of easy ways to access the casino floor depending upon your preference and visitation.

Registered overnight guests will receive access for themselves and any other individuals registered to the same room.
Guests of the property who are attending a convention, meeting or a private function are granted access to the casino floor.
Guests who spend a minimum of $10 in one of our dining, nightlife or retail outlets are granted access to the casino floor.
Individuals who purchase one of our memberships will receive access to the casino floor for themselves and a guest for the term of the membership.

The Valley Forge Convention Center casino license is a different category of license than other Pennsylvania casinos already open. The gaming law anticipates that smaller “resort” casinos like Valley Forge are to be used primarily by guests of the resort.

The Greenbrier Resort heh' in Appalachia o'er in the Mountain State has severe restrictions on 'zactly who can play in its casino:

"As dictated by state law, the Casino Club at The Greenbrier is open to overnight guests, members of The Greenbrier Sporting Club and The Greenbrier Golf and Tennis Club in addition to registered event/convention attendees staying off-property when more than 400 rooms are sold. You must be 21 years or older to enter."

DonDiego's limited experience in the casinos of West Virginia suggests they offer a fine blackjack game. However, it is unlikely that he will be a guest in a resort that charges over $100-per-night !

Seems like the same restrictions in West Virginia apply to this new casino in Pennsy.

I guess they have a very flexible work staff that they need to bring in their full staff only when they know they have a big convention coming in. The rest of the time, the casino must be pretty quiet.
It's an anti-riff-raff rule.

In DonDiego's case, it's workin' !

Soldier:"Sir, are you telling us they're going to charge us to play in their damn casino?"

General Washington:"Yes soldier but they've waived the no shoes no service policy."

I've stopped at, visited, and even played at literally hundreds of casino's in the contiguous USA, if you include the places that call themselves casino's instead of what they really are.

After looking at the Greenbriar web site, I must say it appears to be the most exclusive and high class casino I know of. (If you discount the special high roller rooms many casinos have and the general public is unaware of.)

Unfortunately, it is highly doubtful that I will ever get to play or visit their casino, even if a roadtrip were to take me into close proximity. At least I don't have to worry about trying to get in. I know where I'm not wanted.

They have a dress code:
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:00 am
Friday and Saturday 11:00 am to 4:00 am
Dress:
Morning to 7pm: Resort casual attire, including collared sport shirts, sweaters, jackets, dress slacks and walking shorts.
After 7pm: Business casual attire. Jacket required for gentlemen; dress slacks, dress capris, dresses or evening suits for ladies.
Adults Only - 21 years and older

In their video, the mentioned Texas Holdem poker. That could be interesting. A poker game with fancy pants "GQ esque" dressed players?
