NEW YEARS EVE PLANS?

Wife is on call at her radiology job this weekend. Keeping the 6 yr old grandson also for the weekend. So, looks like lots of football watching and just hangin round the house. Of course he will want to play me on the PS3 "Call of Duty" and ride the 4 wheeler.

Surely, most of you have more exciting nights planned?
Nothing better than watching the zombie corpse of Dick Clark being dragged out again, if only to see him screw up the countdown and/or have to get his diaper changed on live TV!
Grill a steak with some chili peppers. Drink a beer. Watch some TV. Maybe stay up until midnight.
My wife wants to bring the New Year in with a bang. I told her to wake me up..

At home. Kids and grandkids over. Granddad is grilling porterhouse steaks & lobster tails. Baked potatoes, roasted veggies, salad and homemade biscuits.
Pizza and TV, a nice fire in the fireplace, sleep.
We're at MGM now and have an invite for their party but as recently as an hour ago, we think we're going to give it a pass.

We're a bit tired and NYE isn't a particularly special night for us. Let's face it, if you're in Vegas, almost every night can be a NYE celebration....no last call anywhere, right?

So, we just made a reservation at Nob Hill and will give up our tickets to hopefully someone who might find it a big more enjoying than us. If I were a betting man, I'd bet the under on me being awake at midnight.

Happy New Year all.....be safe out there if you're venturing out. Here in Vegas they're estimating a record crowd. This is our 4th NYE here and just on the surface, it seems the most crowded. Reasonable weather as well which I'm sure will be much appreciated by those who venture out on the Strip or Fremont.

We are low-keying it tonight because we are on the road to Vegas at 7 a.m. in the morning. So the menu calls for leftover tamales from work today. And we will open a bottle of Nicolas Feuillatte.
Fedomalley, enjoy the lobster pot pie, chocolate souffle or any other of their specialty dishes.

Tonight, going to dinner with friends. Tomorrow, having the family over. Food and football. Spent a small fortune on food and beginning to think the Vegas trip I canceled for next week may have been less expensive, LOL.
Happy New Year!

This just arrived in my email as I was typing my previous post. "Your New Years Pacakage has arrived at the Aquarius." Spend NYE at the Aquarius and welcome 2012 in style. . .ballon drop on the casino floor, champagne toast at midnight, Splash Cabaraet Party. . Choose Your Room Special: NYE Special #1 - starting at $329 plus tax. Two nights, Firday and Saturday, Dec. 30 and 31, 2011. . .

I wonder if I should call them and ask what it costs for 1 night, LOL.
