NFL Football and Beer

"NFL fans know that stadium beers are no bargain, but there’s a chance that recent acquisitions can make them a better bad deal."

It seems that one benefit from the otherwise unfortunate consolidation of craft brewers into the big guys, . . . Anheuser-Busch, and Molson Coors, . . . is that more craft beer offerings are showing up in NFL stadia:

Ref: Craft Beer Buyouts give NFL fans more for their buck

teechur and DonDiego plan to visit FirstEnergy Stadium, Home of the Cleveland Browns, and Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills this Fall. Whether the football will be the best or not, maybe there'll be some better beer at least.

*****EDITED*****
DonDiego replaced the term "fallout" with the term "benefit" in response to fried mush's thoughtful comment below.
Tailgating is the way to go......beer and food are much cheaper

Beer prices have gone from high..to crazy...to HOLY CRAP! I went to a concert this Summer and they were charging $14 for a plastic cup of Blue Moon. Love me some beer but I don't think you can get me drunk enough to pay $14 for one.
I wouldn't describe the availability of craft beer at a stadium "fallout." I would call it a perk. I would describe it as one of the advantages (one of the few) of big beer buyouts. I generally get my drink on before going through the gates, but if I am going to partake I would rather pay more and have a craft. Bud Light isn't going away due to presence of craft.

I am sure DD is visiting Cleveland to see them play his beloved DALLAS COWBOYS!!!!!!!

Not so !

teechur and DonDiego have been to a game in the NFL Stadium of 28 of the 32 NFL teams. Sometimes multiple stadiums, . . .as in Tempe, AZ and Glendale, AZ, . . . and as in Irving, TX and Arlington, TX, . . . and the old & new Giants/Jets Stadia in The Meadowlands of New Jersey. Sometimes where they aren't any more, . . . like the St. Louis Dome and Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

The usual plan is to visit an unvisited stadium when teechur's Cardinals or DonDiego's beloved Eagles are in attendance at the game.
Weather is also a factor; visiting Green Bay, WI or, Foxborough, MA in, say, November or December is becoming ever less attractive, especially as DonDiego's inevitable physical decrepitation proceeds.

This year the Cardinals visit the Bills in Week 3. September in Buffalo sounds downright appealing. And toss in a visit to Niagara Falls and a brief stay in Canada, whats not to like !

Cleveland, perhaps not so surprising for the city nicknamed "The Mistake On The Lake", is an afterthought. It's on the way to Buffalo. A couple of ethnic meals by whatever ethnics inhabit Cleveland, . . . likely including kapusta, pirogies, kie?basa, and halupki, . . . a visit to the lakefront, and an afternoon watching the Ravens/Browns contest on the way to Buffalo sounds like quite the NFL-appetizer.

That'll leave Minnesota and New England as the only teams not yet visited at home, . . .and Santa Clara, Ca and Los Angeles, CA as the only remaining unvisited stadia for teams in new locations.
That is a nice accomplishment DD, have been to a few nfl games, typically just to see my beloved Broncos.
Where was DD on week one?

teechur and DonDiego were at the local Buffalo Wild Wings watching all the games, especially the Browns/Eagles, while enjoying the delectable comestibles. DonDiego also ingested a delightful locally-brewed Dunkel and a Traveler's Pumpkin Ale.
BWW was kind enough to e-mail poor old DonDiego a $5-off coupon.
