The NFL needs to throw the book at Ndamukong Suh

Not having grown up with many Ndamukongs, I checked his Wikipedia page. It says he's from Portland, OR, and that his mom is Jamaican, his father is Cameroonian (?).

It also says Suh gave $2.6 million to his alma mater, the University of Nebraska. $2M will go to the athetics department (sorta silly if you ask me), but $600k will go towards engineering scholarships, which is pretty cool.

On balance, I'd say he's a hulking benevolent asshole.

Suh should be suspended for the rest of the season.He already has a reputation of being dirty.And I predict the Lions will not make the playoffs.Again.Same old Lions.

he does have a degree in enginering.

I read that his degree is in "construction management", is that really engineering?

Sounds less impressive if you ask me, like the sort of degree someone that you wind up with if you wanted to be an engineer but couldn't quite hack it.

The NFL and Detroit don't need this guy.

The Detroit Lions have been the worst run organization over the last 53 years.Ever since the ford family took over,this org.has flat out stunk.They thrive on this kind of controversy and stupidity.

One of the football fundamentals that players learn is to roll off the pile and not to use the player on the bottom as leverage which can cause injury. suh has the most unsportsmanlike penalties in the NFL the last two years.

THIS is a non-sequitur (in fact a double non-sequitur). But you did not choose this path originally. Rather, you chose to insert a slur and an assumption about what Suh would have done with his life without football. I believe it is highly likely that football CAUSES this type of behavior, i.e. it is football-related behavior. I can't imagine any reason for speculating about some alternative career path.
