NFL network

They were showing a couple top ten shows tonight. One was the top 10 worst teams. Had a couple interesting and amusing ones, heres their list.
10-'91 pats
9-'68 eagles
8-89cowboys Jimmy Johnsons 1st year and they picked aikman with #1 pick. Also did the herschel walker trade with the vikings for a bunch of players and with those players were attached draft picks.JJ said he never intended to play those guys much because he wanted those picks no matter what. Aikman took a heeluva beating thatyear.
7-'96 jets
6-'80 saints
5-'60 cowboys
4-'90's bengals YEP,thats right the 90's. The entire decade. This is so funny to me. First I'm a huge steeler fan always have been, entire family are steeler fans and bengals are division rivals. TWO, I mostly grew up in dayton, bengals country. I never got to much crap from bengal fans because they always sucked. BUT,the did go to the super bowl that one year. I was in high school and my freinds ,of course, become HUGE bengal fans overnight and kept trying to rub it in saying such outrageous things like"thats it for your steeles john, they're done. A new dynasty has begun and its in cincinatti" or "The bengals will be kicking the steelers ass from here on out,I guarantee it". So to see that they gave the bungles an entire decade is especially great for me. Oh,and also, they said that a key thing that led to them being so bad was the hiring of dave shula. They went onto say that the bengals decision on a new head coach came down to two guys.Dave shula or bill cowher. I had never heard that before. Imagine that. I wonder how different the nfl might have been a little bit different.
3-'72-'73 oilers
2-'76 buc's
1-'08 lions

The other was top ten all time top ten steelers. I think i've seen this before but still cool for me to watch. Its really hard to say who the top ten steelers are. Love 'em or hate 'em,the steelers have produced some of the best footbal players ever, heck even had two guys institute rule changes (mel blount abd hines ward). Here what they came up with

10-bettis What can you say? showed highlights of himjust steamrolling guys. Showed a bunch of a bears game and he was just running over brian urlacher. WOW
9-swan Graceful receiver. Some people dont know but he took ballet for a long time as well.
8hines ward Toughest receiver and my personal all time favorite athelete
7-troy polaulomo(sp) Hes a great player and all,but top 10 steeler all time? I dunno.
6-mel blount Reason why pass coverage rules were changed.
5-jack lambert Mean SOB about sums it up nicely.
4-rod woodson Probably the greatest all around DB ever. Some say deon sanders was better. I say bullsh!t to that. Deon was a great cover guy, prob the best, but thats all he could do. Tackle someone? I've seen him step out of the way of guys,he was a wuss when it came to getting physical. Woodson was a better ball player at game time.
3-franco harris
2-terry bradshaw some say couldn't spell cat if spotted the C and the A. I wont argue.
1- Joe Green Set the standard for what made a defensive lineman.IMO

JOHN
Yeah, you've seen the Steelers show before.
Jack Ham should definitely be included.
Hines Ward makes my Top Ten best dancer list.
LOL JM, i thought maybe i had posted something before too, obviously i had.
Yea, they mentioned jack ham on the show a few times when they were talking about lambert. Some players i can think of off the top of my head that i think should've at least been mentioned, greg llyood(sp) and dermontai dawson.

John, they kinda left out those YEARS that Tampa only 1 or 2 games ALL year. They also forget Cincy has gone to not 1 but 2 Superbowls and they faced SF BOTH years agaisnt not 1, but 2 Hall of Fame QB's. Of course these are they same folks that have left out Ken Anderson of The HoF for some assinine reason. His stats are better than quite a few that are already in.

Cincy has been bad because the Brown family refuses to spend the money to make the Bengals a superbowl contender. It's been this way since forever and it likely won't change until the team gets sold. Brown makes money from the Bengals despite not putting anything into the business, he just racks up the cash from an investment he has used as a tax writeoff and makes money no matter what he does to screw them up.

I don't watch the stealer, cowboy, patriot, jets, giants, colts network, aka NFL Network. No other teams exist according to the morons (rog's toadies) that run that network. MLB Network does a much better job showcasing the entire league not just a select few favorite teams.

I agree, they do have their favorites. They should just give Rex Ryan his own daily one hour show.

I still watch it because I'm a junkie. There are some good guys and some awful guys on that network. One of the worst things I've seen on the NFLN was four guys discussing the Bears draft over the last few years. Warren Sapp says Bears GM Jerry Angelo is a terrible talent evaluator, he might be right but for the wrong reason. Sapp says "Angelo drafted Matt Forte in the second round and he was a bust, where is Forte now, is he even in the league?" The other guys say "Forte is a very good player for the Bears". Sapp shrugs his shoulders and starts laughing. That guy gets paid to be an "expert" and he doesn't even watch the games? Forte had 27 touches in the NFC title game, there is no way Sapp could have watched that game and not seen Forte. Sapp is stealing money calling himself an "expert" and not even watching championship games.

Great player, but a total moron.

Edit to add this:
Sometimes they are so stupid it's funny.
The players name Theisman was trying for is Danny Woodhead.
At least some of you guys have it to watch. There are some of us on cable that don't.

Cincy went to 2 SB's? You'd think i would know that. Yea,kenny anderson was a really good QB and i didnt like him much because he always seemed to have the steelers # when they played. Chris collinsworth, the same. Hated that guy,he always had monster games against us I do like him as an analysist tho,one of the few, but i always watch him with a bit of a cringe.

BTW I hardly EVER watch the nfl network, not sure why, just doesn't seem to pique my interest much. I just occasionally click by it to see whats on if theres nothing else to watch on the tube.

What are they serving folks these days? A bunch of only remember these specific teams and forget about everyone else potions?

Do people just think that the only team in the now AFC North is Pittsburg? There are 3 other teams.....All but 1 have been to a Superbowl and they were a powerhouse in the 1960's. (Browns)
