NFL Playoff Picks This Weekend

Just wanted everyone's thoughts and predictions for this weeks championship games.

Here is my take:

NFC : I like the Packers over the Bears. I just think that the Bears have great defense but their offense is too erratic and the Packers have more playmakers on both sides of the ball. Which I think that will make the difference. I think that Packers offense with Aaron Rodgers is a better matchup against the Bears defense than Jay Cutler is against the Packer defense. I look for Charles Woodson to have a monster game.

Packers 28 Bears 17.

AFC : I honestly want the Jets to win but do not see it happening. I just think that big win over New England it took a lot of them. Plus I do not think their running game matches up well against the Steeler defense and I do not see Mark Sanchez throwing for three hundred plus yards either. I have a gut feeling he throws a interception that will kill break their backs. Also Roethlisberger always seems to have a great game when it counts.

My prediction is close game early but Steelers pull away late. Final score 31-17.
I agree with your analysis but I'm usually wrong.

Hester is a game changer and the Jets are hot.
Wish I had more confidence in the home team but I have this feeling it's Green Bay in a rout...41-14. But I could see the Jets pulling another upset and holding off Pittsburgh, 23-20.

Go with the Home teams in the Championship game....

It is a huge difference playing three games on the road versus two at home. Jay Cutler can be very good when he is good and don't ever count out Ben Rapelisburger.

I got to go with the "underdogs". (Of course, I very very rarely bet sports)

For practical purposes, it's a one game season, and all teams will bring their "best" game. Knowing this, how can there be a favorite, except to help the bookies balance their books. This is "professional" football. All teams should, in theory, be pretty much equal to the task of winning.

In my opinion, it all boils down to coaching and "special" plays.

Vince Lombard once said, "On any given day, any given team can beat the other.", or something to that affect.

I believe in it.
I agree with loydthelover on the scores, except in reverse-Bears 28 Packers 17 and Jets 31 Steelers 17.

Kim
Bears 28 - Packers 24

Steelers 37 - Jets 24
Packers 31 - Da Bears 17

Steelers 37 - Jets 21
I'm just going with Packers vs Jets in SB. Dat's it.
Since inception the home team wins 67.5% of NFC and AFC championship games
