NFR 2014 questions

What can you tell me about the best hotels to book for NFR?
I'm going to NFR this year for the first time with family (real, live cowboys!)  I'm leaning toward booking MGM, as I have a great relationship with those folks.  Also notice MGM is a sponsor hotel.  What does that mean?  Shuttles to the event?  
Any input I welcomed.  Thanks in advance.

MGM is a Nice choice , I have also seen some Good things from South Point , The Orleans and Gold Coast

Various hotels sponsor various contestant groups. for example one hotel has the bull riders, one has the bronc riders, one has the calf ropers, one has the steer wrestlers, one has the barrel racers; well you get the idea check out the NFR web page for more information.

I've been several times during the NFR for the party. All hotels participate particularly Gilley's and the Gold Coast also had a ballroom but most hotels also have other rooms for dancing to country music.
