NHL free showings on pay-per view till jan 31st.

NHL hockey is back today and there are free showings untill jan 31 if you have on- demand (NHL Center Ice) with your Cable or Satellite provider.
I'm with Cox Cable and just got off the phone with a rep. and he just stated free previews until jan 31, with about 40 out of market games per week showing.
Not every team every single night, with some possible black-out games depending on your market area.
This will be a 48 game season with teams playing about every other night.
I was told that the cost will be about $50 for the rest of the regular season.
I will take advantage with the free games and then make a choice.
I just wanted to let everyone know and goodluck...................

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to see if directv is ponying up. I know the pens were playing when I had to head out this afternoon.

The Pens were the first team to play. They won and put a hurting on my team.
Thanks...I'll have to check it out. Have Cox On Demand but don't know if they have the NHL.

Direttv is showing the center ice channels, COOL!
Bagiant, with Cox it on channels around 671 thur 684.
Some games will be on HD. either 1796 and 1798, around there..
After 1am, the night before, on these channels, their is a rolidex that will tell you which game is on
which channel for next afternoon or evening game.
Also the NHL channel and NBC sports channels will also show games, along with espn from time to time.
they are out there, just do a little searching.
Trying to salvage the season anyway they can.
I wish the season was this short every year. Have someone hoist Lord Stanley in late April.

There's nothing we learn after 82 games that we didn't already know after 48.

Without the revenue associated with the 162-game schedule, we would lose all the good players to the Russian Hockey League and that would suck.
