NHRA Races

Hi we were wanting to go to the races between the 10/30-11/2. Has anyone gone, is there a shuttle?
Was it worth it?
Was it easy to find?
Thanks
I know a few NHRA crew team guys plus several of the team motor coach drivers that make this trip to Vegas each year. They stay at various hotels and may know about shuttle info..

Where are you staying, and I'll see what I can find out?

I've been to 55 different drag strips in the USA and Canada, and The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is my favorite track! I've been to about 20 NHRA National events there, in both the spring and fall.

It's very easy to find on Speedway Blvd, Exit 54 off of I-15, about 12 miles north of downtown Las Vegas. The Strip is on your left as you head east on Speedway Blvd toward the NASCAR track.

There is a shuttle available, for a price. That would be a viable transportation option if adult beverage consumption is expected to be part of your fan experience. Most tracks have beer for sale. The Strip at LVMS has a much larger selection of adult beverages available. If not, a rental car would make your race weekend more flexible than taking a shuttle.

General admission tickets are a little cheaper than reserved seats, but the GA grandstands are on the right-lane side of the drag strip. The pits are behind the reserved seat (left-lane) grandstands. Most folks like spending time in the pits at the drag races, and while there is a tunnel under the track to get from the GA grandstands to the pits, it is a bit of a walk.
Does BobOrme ever visit my hometown of Brownsburg for NHRA US Nationals?

I've been to Indy 5 or 6 times. Compared to most events, Indy is a marathon...6 days long and about 1,000 entries. That is a whole bunch of drag racing!
