NICE TO KNOW THAT IT'S ILLEGAL TO PLACE A $10 BET ON MY COMPUTER...

...but if I want a closet full of assault rifles, no problem.

Your country is seriously going out of its way to remain the laughing stock of the world.

Assault rifles have been illegal in the US for 80 years.
It's really we that are laughing at the world-you are loaning our doomed socialist government $4 billion a day that will be paid back with monopoly money a la Zimbabwe.

Murder, cocaine, prostitution and are also illegal. Too bad that our governing socialists didn't pass a law forbidding guns in school-that would stop it!

First of all, it's NOT ILLEGAL to bet. It's illegal to use a credit card to do so!
And you are another typical right-wing idiot who will never come to your senses until you or someone you love is affected by it, cause as with all conservatives, you haven't the capability to walk a mile in anybody else's shoes.
Why did the shooter stop shooting? Apparently he saw law enforcement officer with a gun and shot himself.

If there were a gun in the Principal's office, many lives may have been saved.

If there were more male staff members in the school - ditto.

If the government did not cut spending on mental health facilities - ditto.

If the kid had not been filled with prescription drugs for years - ditto.

If the mother of a mentally unstable son had locked up her guns - ditto.

If CT had an assult weapon law ---- ooooops they did.

It is so easy to blame our gun laws, isn't it?

Look at Switzerland where every man must serve in the military and nearly every home has a gun - they don't seem to have these issues do they?

Which is why the customer service desk at my local Wal-Mart now doubles as a casino cage for incoming and outgoing Money Grams.

Also why I have to use Go To My PC to access my computer at my brother's house in Canada so that I can use most of the world's online books, who have long since left the U.S. market. Never mind taxing it...God says no gambling so forget about it.

There's actually a point here. If I can find a way to continue placing a bet, the loser gun nuts will find a way to collect their arsenals...lying in wait until the day they go insane and take out some more innocent people.

Time to take mental illnesses seriously, people.
Nearly every home here has a gun also. Point is it doesn't have to be an assult rifle with a high capacity clip. No one needs an assault rifle for self protection or target practice or any other reason than to kill people and to do it at a very fast rate and high body count. You just can't make a sensible case for owning an assault rifle! Same thing holds true for high capacity clips for automatic hand guns.

I am the first to agree that its the person behind the weapon that does the killing. However, in the cases of these horrible mass murder attacks, if the gunman didn't have access to such high rate of fire weaponry, there would have been a much better chance of someone being able to stop him sooner and thereby saving more lives.

I'm sure we can all agree that especially in this last instance saving just one more of these young lives would be worth any price.

Think about it a minute. Do YOU need an assault rifle to prove YOUR manhood to the world? I say to the NRA and everyone else NO. I can protect my family with common sense and one good Smith & Wesson. I don't need anything more powerful than that. That's what we have Marines for.

Again, assault weapons have been illegal in the US since 1934. So have cocaine, prostitution, and since 1937 marijuana Oh, murder is also illegal.
