What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? He wasn't fired or forced out, he left on his own accord because he wasn't happy there.

The reason he wasn't happy is mostly his fault. Nick Charles, the former CNN sports personality that died recently said something very profound. Life is 20% what happens to us and 80% how we react to it. If Ray had decided to react positively to the negative aspects of his job he'd be singing a different tune today.

Good luck Ray, hope you do well with your businesses. Looking forward to reading good things

In my mind, I did react positively to the situation I was in. I QUIT. You don't know all the details of what went on, and still goes on there. Unless you are, like someone else said, are one of my old bosses and know what I refuse to post on this board out of some of the little respect I have for the place. then STFU thank you very much. I worked my ass off for that place. Over the first 15 years, you could count how many days I missed work on both hands. the entire time I worked there, I didn't have a car. Took public trannsportation to work EVERYDAY!!!! So don't tell me I "didn't do my job" BULL F*****G S***!!!!

I didn't say you didn't do your job. I said you didn't do your job exceedingly well. You didn't distinguish yourself and were just like the rest of the masses out there. Workers like you are a dime a dozen. You just made my point for me. You took criticism on an internet message board of all places and reacted negatively to it in a visceral way. I hope you succeed in your future endeavors. A change of attitude and outlook will go a long way towards ensuring that happens though.

I guess I should have held out my pinkey finger (like I was drinking high tea) would have increased my worth to the company when I paid off a $3.50 six. I'm not an ass kisser, as you can see by my other posts. It's like a baseball free agent. If I'm not being paid what I'm worth to the team, I'll take my talents elsewhere. Look at it this way, their revenues are down over the last few years, not mine. I run Texas Holdem Poker League. My profits are up over the last few years. I'm making enough now to be able to walk away from a decent paying job. I was asked, a long time ago if I wanted to be considered for a floor job. I didn't want to go on nights so I told them no. At some point in my years there I must have been a good enough employee to be in line for a promotion.

I'm tired of this. I'm done with this pissing contest.

So It's the employees of Enron and all the loan companies that gave mortgages to people that couldn't rub two nickles together loans on their houses, or any of the other bankrupt business over the last few years that handed our multi-million dollar bonuses to the top level execs.

I didn't see this post earlier, so I had to make one more comment. Now I'm done.

Ray, I wish you the best.

+1. Also, being your own boss can be a very satisfying, happy, and profitable decision. I know from experience.
Yeah...good Luck Ray!
