No Resort Fees at Golden Nugget

Just thought I would give you all a FYI and let you know that the Golden Nugget is no longer charging a resort fee.

When I checked their rates it showed on the page no resort fees. Didn't book though because I found better rates plus I can get comped rooms at MSS.

Hope this helps anyone looking at booking your hotel rooms.
I don't think they ever had a resort fee, they just charged a "Downtown Destination Fee" of $5 a night. And it seems they still do:

https://www.goldennugget.com/lasvegas/faq.asp

"Guests will incur a daily $5 Downtown Destination Fee plus applicable taxes added to the room rate payable directly to the property. "
Wow if they are still charging that fee then that is deceiving people because at the top of the reservation page it says no resort fees.

I just saw that and that is terrible. Just wonder what would happen if some called them out on it.

They 're not charging a "Resort Fee". It's just a resort fee with a different name. It's like I always say, "Even if the pig is in a different dress, it's still a pig".
