Noisy Housekeepers

One of my home casinos has housekeepers who have a knack for making their presence known while cleaning. For example, not just setting ashtrays back after cleaning them, but giving them a little toss for maximum clatter. Or using their carts to bang chairs back against machines rather than quietly hand sliding them.

As noisy as casinos are you wouldn't think that such things would be annoying. But they are. To me, at least. Anyone else have similar complaints?

This is upriver I believe, in Davenport, Iowa.
Have you ever been to that casino in Tama IA??? I was thinking about going up there for a poker tournament in a few months.

Ray.

Cleaning is a tuff job.

Tossing the ash tray seems to be a common in most casinos. I normally stop playing, lean over out of their way, tell them: ".... I didn't make that mess, my momma raised me better..." they get a smile and maybe have a better day having to clean up after a bunch of pigs.

One cleaning lady told me that on very busy nights male players have been know to Pee right between the machines.

Worst I've seen is some kid down a drink and throw the cup down between two machines leaving a mess for someone else to clean up.
Its tough to sleep in late at any hotel. Even if you put the "Do Not Disturb" thingy on your door you can still hear the vacuum running somewhere else ....and the early bird guests talking in the hall....and the elevator bell ringing....

I frequently stay out late in Vegas but I'm always up by 7:00am regardless of how late I'm out. By 4:00pm the maids are done so I can get in a good power nap.

That must be the Meskwaki Indian casino. I was there maybe 12-15 years ago. The only thing I remember about it was that it was too smokey to stay in for very long. Believe the building has been upgraded since then, since it looked like little more than a machine shed when I was there. So the air quality hopefully is a lot better, especially if the poker room is nonsmoking.
