Nah, Trump tweeting a picture of Hillary’s head photoshopped on top of a pile of money alongside a Star of David that says “corrupt” is bad optics.

For the record here is the picture from the tweet:

[It looks like a sheriff's badge to poor old DonDiego.]

Nonetheless, after the uproar over the "Star of David", Mr. Trump revised the shape to a red-circle instead of a star.

Oops, double post.
Donald and Boiler go to great lengths to prove Mally wrong. Boiler goes as far as finding black friends, and Donald goes so far as finding Jewish friends........and relatives.

Or possibly, Mally's argument is silly.

That is some bad optics...especially considering Ivanka converted to Judaism with Donald's blessing and he has 3 Jewish grandchildren and an orthodox Jewish son-in-law. He should know better than using 6 pointed stars for anything but reinforcing his unwavering support for the State of Israel. I'm sure Trump's good buddies and casino owners Steve Wynn, Sheldon Adelson, Carl Icahn and Phil Ruffin are just appalled.

Alan invokes Boiler’s black friend defense. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time. The problem with Trump is that he makes these same racial/ethnic mistakes over and over again.

I would never in a million years equate that with the star of David.

Umm, . . . OK.

But actually more like this, . . .

and ESPECIALLY this.

Our resident Trump supporters are quick to parrot the statement put out by a Trump surrogate suggesting that it wasn’t a Star of David, but rather a sheriff’s badge.

Funny how the internet works. Nowadays, you can trace the source of an image.

Mic discovered Sunday that Donald Trump's Twitter account wasn't the first place the meme appeared. The image was previously featured on /pol/ — an Internet message board for the alt-right, a digital movement of neo-Nazis, anti-Semites and white supremacists newly emboldened by the success of Trump's rhetoric — as early as June 22, over a week before Trump's team tweeted it.

Or people try to make thiongs they aren't or were ever meant to e. Just because the PC/anti trump crowd WANTS to say it's the star of David and therefore an evil ad, then by god that's what it is. No matter what the intended ad was, that's beside the point, the truth that is.
So the meme originates on a neo Nazi site, is coded HH, neo Nazi code for Heil Hitler, but it's the PC crowd who is inferring it means something it's not intended to be.
Gotcha.

Gotcha? Seriously? I had no idea where that originated from and if it's true, bad optics to use the current term. I still would never, ever equate that with the star of david, why would I, there's no relevance whatsoever or if there is, I don't get it, yet I don't look for anything and everything that could possibly be offensive or have some nefarious meaning.
People will and do bitch about anything and are offended by everything from some dept store T-shirts to the latest Disney movie that somehow portrays a Polynesian guy in a bad light. So peopel can go ahead and keep searching for offensive things, wasting time.I'll pass.
