I couldn't believe I read this term twice in one day. It was mentioned in the Arizona Execution story . The man that was being executed was convicted of robbing and killing 2 people in store for " pecuniary gain ".

The second story was about a woman that was being sentenced for drugging her son to make it look like he had cancer. She was raising money . This also was " pecuniary gain ".

It is funny how a term or word catches you and it sticks. Here is the meaning :
