NOrth or south outlet mall

Hi we want to go to the outlet Mall . I see there is one at the north and south end of the strip. We'll only have time to go to 1 which is better? I know the south end has a few stores that are not on the north end.
Thanks
Bus or cab?
The Las Vegas Premium Outlets, north, are more upscale. Our last visit to the Las Vegas Outlet Center (south) was by and large depressing.
We much prefer the north one. The Bass shop there is my favorite and if you join their club, they send coupons and incentives. I have a $10.00 off coupon on anything ready to use. A few weeks ago they had buy one pair of shoes and get 2 free. Great deal! They have great sales.
I'm opposite of the others. I like the south (old belz) mall much better. It has a number of different stores that the north mall doesn't. The north mall contains most of the regular outlet stores that many of the mainland and hawaii outlet malls have so not as interesting for me.

I'm a guy so not into the chain stores that the north mall has. In addition, now that it's summer it is freaking hot and the north mall isn't enclosed so you have to walk in the heat to each store. I visit the north premium mall but I hardly buy anything there.

I like the south mall because it is enclosed, more eateries and vendors (dunkin donuts too) on the mall area. there is a kiosk vendor that used to have a store in the mall, he sells mens stuff like belts, wallets, and money clips and other stuff. There is a Mickey store in the annex that sells marked down disney stuff plus they sell some neat t shirts (bank of dad using the bank of america logo, "US Male" with the PO eagle holding a mug of beer, and other shirts with parodies of some stores like best buy...."broke guy"). While the north mall also has a disney store outlet the prices there don't seem as marked down as the one at the south mall and they seem to be more for the kiddies so not a big selection for adults.

Hate to say but they (the south mall) also seems to have higher store turnover than the north mall so they have specials on store closings and new store openings. The south mall also will send coupons and incentives if you provide your email. One note, both malls have a discount tuesday for seniors that are 50 and older.

Along LVB the south mall also has a lot of restaurants (not part of the mall), like outback (I think), panda, etc. so after visiting the mall you can stop off and eat at a restaurant before going back home.

I guess it depends on what store you visit, if you like the general generic stores like Nike, Puma, Adidas, Reebok, Polo, Coach, CK, AX, etc. then the north mall is for you.

you can take the bus to the south mall but I think you have to transfer buses to get there. The north mall is more convenient, there are regular shuttles from downtown to the mall (pick up on main street in front of the cal). Not sure about shuttles from the strip.

Thanks so much so far, which is faster Bus or cab?
How much would it cost via cab, thoughts?
I heard Metro has a bus going to both outlet malls, any idea, are there quite a few stops?
We were thinking of taking the monorail to the end of the strip amd then getting a cab.
There are special buses that stop there all day. Check out their website. www.premiumoutlet.com

the cost for a cab will all depend on where you start and which mall you are going to. For instance, if you are staying at mgm it would cost less to go to the south outlet mall since it's only a 5 to 15 minute (depending on traffic) drive down las vegas blvd. to get from the mgm to the north outlet mall might cost you, similar to going from the airport to downtown prices.

the cabs are pretty standard as in other cities but convenient, you pay more for the cab instead of a bus but then you get there quicker and more conveniently. With a bus you may have to take the long journey to get to your destination.

Sorry, I can't really give dollar amounts since most of the time I just rent a car. Many strip hotels have car rentals there, you could rent a small car for a day and it will pay for the cost of cab fare depending on where you are going. With a rental you could also venture out to other areas, like the M resort, GVR, boulder highway casinos like eastside cannery and sams town, or out west to red rock station, etc.

I definitely prefer the Premium Outlets on the North end but they are outside and you need to go early to miss most of the heat. You can get online coupons for both, which you redeem for coupon books at each concierge office, on the Vegas4Locals and other coupon/discount sites. Sorry, I don't know how to post links. Hope this helps
My actual favorite is Primm. They have the only Williams Sonoma and have better Coach prices. But in town, the (indoor) south outlet is much better to me than the (outdoor) north one. The Coach store is a fire hazard at the outdoor one and I find the stores there not enticing at all. I hardly ever go there.

Yes, I agree about checking out the website or calling because I believe they may have a free shuttle.
Hey Daisy. We love the Jocky store, Coach and New balance.
Why do you say the one is a fire hazard?
I loved the outlet in Orlando.
