NYE lockdown

Have tried to find some info in the forums about NYE lockdown of streets and casinos with no luck. What time does it normally go into effect and when does it end. Is it just the strip or??? Appreciate some info.
Strip is shutdown rom Riveria to Luxor..Time is usually 6:00pm till 02:00..Some casinos require card access..Not sure which ones though..I've been there for 13 yrs and it's a party..
Thanks. Appreciate your response.
Been there several times for NYE, and it's quite the party. Many of the luxury hotel/casinos lock down fairly early, and you have to have a roomkey or purchased wrist band to get in if you leave. Some of the smaller casinos are open. The strip is blocked off to vehicles very early. Crossing LV Blvd gets fairly tough after dark. There are cordons down the center for police and EMS. About 10 pm, it gets pretty crowded on the strip. By 11:30, it's SRO until well after the fireworks. A short time after midnite, access is opened up again. Fremont has been wide open until the last few years. Now you have to pay admission to get in. We stayed at MSS last NYE, and still had to buy access. You can get in and out of the casinos fairly easily all night. Fairly easily is qualified, however, because of the mass of humanity. Wifey and I have enjoyed Fremont much better than the strip. My sis and b-i-l prefer the strip. But they're wusses.

thanks for the info
I never understood the desire of others who make a big deal out of NYE, to me it is just another day. Of course, the casinos love this event because it is another chance to gouge those who have more money than brains. That's right, I said "get off of my lawn!"
