NYNY Hotel and Casino

March 1 I'm heading to Vegas for a convention. We'll stay two nights at NYNY before my boss leaves, then I head downtown for one night at the Golden Nugget for some R & R. Although I've been inside NYNY many years ago, I've never stayed there.

Does anyone have suggestions of places to eat, drink, and so on. We'll likely do two business dinners with customers, and are willing to drop maybe a max of $125 per head. We may also dine at Mandalay Bay, and dinner suggestions there are also appreciated. Is the piano bar still at NYNY, and is it still fun?

I've not stayed downtown for several years, and I'm especially looking forward to that.

Thanks!
"The Park" is the new outdoor attraction adjacent to NYNY that offers several restaurants and pubs. They looked nice enough. I didn't try any of them due to my boycott of strip properties charging for parking.

I ate at IlFornnio many years ago. I thought it was ok but overpriced. Glad someone else picked up the tab. Tuscany Gardens (at Tuscany) is better and cheaper.

And IndyBoilerman could say "Hello" to alanleroy's new friend Moeshia.
I haven't stayed there in about ten years also. Il Fornaio is an Italian chain, that has pretty good food. This particular one is open for breakfast (or at least it was). I'd eat there for breakfast. There is a beer garden place out in the Park. Gallagher's steakhouse is supposed to be good. They have aging meat in the window. We had reservations there and changed them because we decided we wanted a very light meal.

The one place that truly sucked back then was their slice of pizza place (actually square slice of pizza). I don't know if that place has changed, but it was not very good.

Thanks folks. Please keep the comments coming.
I second Gallaghers..Great steaks..
