The Boyd Group paid to demolish the old McDonald's and construct the new McDonald's a few yards away to make room for part of the Echelon Place Project.
Then the Great Recession hit and Boyd fell on hard times. They sold the property to the Genting Group of Malaysia which is now developing the Resorts World Las Vegas on the site, . . . maybe.
