As to HOW Governor Abbott intends to provide information to the people of Texas, I don't know...that's not my job....but why wouldn't he? It's the friggin' Government. They have ways to communicate. Everything from Press Releases to interviews to their Web Site.

And a little better coordination on behalf of the Pentagon wouldn't hurt, would it?

Since when it is a governors job to inform citizens of Federal troop movements? The real danger is in humoring these nuts and reinforcing their nutty beliefs. It makes it more likely one of them will try and pull a Timothy McVeigh.

Again when has the military ever informed the public of its training missions or troop movements?

But hey if Abbot wants to close all the Wal-Marts in his state because he thinks they have secret underground bunkers full of Chinese troops, I say go for it.
