Obama to Africa

Kenya Witch Doctor Foretells Obama Visit

Ahh, . . . but "Kenya Tell Me How To Get To Sesame Street?"
"Oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang"
With any luck they will keep him..., we can only hope.

For the youngsters on LVA: The Witch Doctor

Obama - Witch Doctor...I get it!

I understand that kind of humor is VERY popular in certain parts of Appalachia.

No humor is intended.

The initial post reported a Kenyan witch doctor's prediction of details of The Obama's upcoming visit.

The later post by DonDiego was intended to educate the interested reader not as old as poor old DonDiego that the prior lyric, posted by ecomstoc, was from a 1958 hit-tune The Witch Doctor. (Subsequently DonDiego realized that the link to the tune may have been to a more recent version, . . . but with the same pertinent lyrics. DonDiego definitely prefers the 1958 version. DonDiego includes a link to the original 1958 version in this post.)
I heard that song on the radio growing up in the 60's. I never realized it was a #1 hit until I saw your link! I was having fun with the song and meant no disrespect to the "office"of the president.

Another brilliant post from one of the dimmest bulbs on the LVA !

You are hereby awarded 3

To conclude this thread:

The witchdoctor was wrong. The Obama did not visit his family's ancestral village. All the villagers' preparations were for naught.
