Obamacare Assessments

And whom should we suppose are paying for those "tax breaks" out of our pockets?

The states and insurance companies are realizing the error of the ways of the plan and are backing out, or cutting back on what they cover.

Well, probably not Donald Trump!

It is simply astonishing to poor old DonDiego that no one saw this coming. Oh, wait ! In fact, lots of analysts of the cock-eyed law predicted just this outcome.
[n.b. If The Obama were not a Democrat the New York Times would've employed the phrase "has failed" to describe The Obamacare, instead of the more pleasant "will almost certainly have to change to survive".]

I believe the president has said from day 1 that the law would need to be improved upon. Perhaps DonDiego is only shocked because he filters what he hears...and posts.

Mali, how many conservatives are thought to have voted for, what in your opinion is 'their' plan?

Fritz is 100% right. Republicans should not get any credit for the Affordable Health care act. They have offered their alternative on over 50 different occasions and have the votes to prove it. Attributes of their alternative include:

- opening the donut hole on senior prescription drugs - costing them 1000's more each year
- kicking college students off their parents health care plan
- allowing insurance companies to rescind policies of customers who get sick
- allowing insurance companies to discriminate against sick people and not accept them as customers
- killing the free market exchanges for people to compare and purchase plans
- Removing medicare fraud enforcement to the tune of 10 billion dollars/year
- Removing 20 million people from any kind of health insurance coverage of any kind.
- this is a partial list

So - yes. Our healthcare system needs to be improved upon. The only question is where is a better base to start from. People like Fritz and everyone on his side of the aisle would say the above list is a better foundation.

Americans should vote with the side they agree with.

This is one of those cases where Obama tried to play his so-called three-dimensional chess, and it didn’t work out. He thought if he adopted the Republican health care plan, they would get on board. Of course, he didn’t understand at the time; they were going to be against anything he purposed.

To answer your question, since it passed, quite a few. Hundreds if not thousands of elected conservative Republicans have passed the Medicaid expansion in states all across the country. As I mentioned, In conservative Alaska, Republicans not only voted for it, they bailed it out to the tune of 55 million dollars per year.
Assess the Strip.
First....the strip. I'm in favor of the strip, non committal on stripping.

Second, Mali, how uninformed. The law passed with only support from rino's and votes that were coerced from the Rep side.

Third, PJ where is your source! Obama told the countries MANY lies about Obamanation Care. None of them conceded any shortcoming.......until doom came to the doorstep.

You guys got a lot of balls trying to pass this crap tax healthcare law on folks who fought hard to defeat it.
Mally argues that those who voted against it wanted it. That's interesting logic.

Kentucky Governor, Matt Bevin, thought it was odd logic too....until his voters pleaded with him to keep the very thing he campaigned to get rid of.
