Obamacare Assessments

Thanks, I guess.
Those geniuses up on the Hill couldn't be bothered to read the freaking bill before they passed it and they are getting the painful truth handed to them.

A program based upon young people actually buying health insurance to pay for the needs of the poor and the elderly who will use much more benefits than they pay in for.... They need people in their 20's to buy into the system and yet they allow kids to stay on their parents policies until the age of 26. Brilliant!! Just take away 5 years of premiums you could of had from those darn kids.

When did you start looking at health insurance? I didn't until I was in my mid 30's and the crappy plan my employer had was far too expensive. ($400 a month)

Just an FYI, Obummer care was never designed to work. It was conceived to get the real program in place to fix what was broken....Single Payer. You may want to look at Krauthammer's remarks about Obama care when it was first being discussed in 2010.

Kool story, bro. I'm sure you have magnificent man hands, as well.

Nah, my hands are very average, as are all my other bodily appendages, Well, except for one.

For some reason my wife, who saw what I was typing, is standing just outside my Study, laughing hysterically right now.

Anyway . . . at least I didn’t sit on the couch watching Seinfeld episodes (“Man Hands”) and munching Cheetos, and becoming too heavy to ride the Big Shot. I’m within a pound or two of what I weighed the day I graduated from high school, back in, I dunno, 1823 or something.
You really are clueless. Perhaps the one person in America who didn't get the hands reference.

No one said not to make money. The key, I will repeat, is to keep your Federal taxable income down. If some clown reads that as saying not to make money, that is truly their problem.
Ask Mitt Romney if low Federal taxable income equals low income. You don't have to lose a billion dollars to take advantage of the Byzantine tax codes.
A 50 year old owner of a business can put $59,000 into a 401k this year, as can their spouse.
Then each throw in $25,000 in profit sharing. That's without taking a single business deduction, or personal deduction for that matter. Instead of living on this weeks paycheck, you live.on last year's profit.
Fools scoff. The wise nod, knowingly.

Yet Trump gets crucified for heeding good tax advice, how hypocritical.
I never blamed him on his taxes. I crucified him for claiming to be a good businessman while losing almost a billion dollars.

Well, I can pretty much guarantee that I’m not the only person in America who thinks you’re just a billhole whistling in the wind.

Since you’ve repeated yourself on this thread, I’ll do it, too. Your lengthy recitation of the Tax Code, above, addresses tax breaks for business owners, not workers. The vast majority of working-age Americans are workers. They are not business owners, and never will be. And for them, you offer a nothingburger (as someone here is fond of saying).

Everyone can be a business owner. In Nevada it takes $35 to get a dba and a tax id.
The Federal government even funds a group called SCORE that will hold ones hand and walk you through the process. I try to help those who try to help themselves. Every American can be a business owner, despite your ridiculous belief that there would be no workers for them. When I had four clubs running consecutively, I had about fifteen employees, and about seventy independent contractors working for me. It saved me a small fortune and saved them even more.

So, let’s just summarize your position, bill: Obamacare won’t be that expensive if we just all become business owners.

Well, thank you for your input.

Have you even heard of the gig economy? Millions have left the old economy brick and mortar type jobs to drive for uber or lyft, work from home or countless other jobs. The ability to get low cost healthcare has been a major factor in that. You can make good money, put a chunk of it away tax free and have health insurance that doesn't break the bank.
No one needs to be a wage slave anymore, if they chose not to.
