Obamacare Employer Mandate - a list of cuts to work hours / jobs

This is courtesy of Investor's Business Daily. Does this scare anyone else considering the employer mandate does not kick in for another year?

In the interest of an informed debate, we've compiled a list of job actions with strong proof that ObamaCare's employer mandate is behind cuts to work hours or staffing levels. As of Oct. 17, our ObamaCare scorecard included 351 employers. Here's our latest analysis, highlighting the consequences of cuts to work hours at more than 100 school districts due to ObamaCare's employer mandate

Statisitics have already debunked the BS about Obamacare forcing people into part time work.

And your list primarily of massive cutbacks to public education jobs? Thank You, sequester ( that thing conservatives have been cheering on the grounds of cutting government spending)
Sequestor Consequences for Education

- Services cut or eliminated for millions of students.
- Funding for children living in poverty, special education, and Head Start slashed by billions.
- Ballooning class sizes.
- Elimination of after-school programs.
- Decimation of programs for our most vulnerable—homeless students, English language learners, and high-poverty, struggling schools.
- Slashing of financial aid for college students.
- Loss of tens of thousands of education jobs—at early childhood, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary levels.

Since JPhelan has a proud history of advocating cuts in government spending I'm confused as to what he is scarred about....but if he doesn't like certain cuts in the public sector he should point to the source that's causing them instead of one that isn't. Thanks for playing
My wife is a member of the NEA and I see all the pr releases in what passes for a newsletter. With over 50 million students enrolled in high school and under the $3b in referenced cuts works out to $60 per student or less than 0.5% of the average expenditure per student. The biggest cost in schools are teachers salaries/benefits & the teachers would never consider a salary/ benefit cut when faced with the choice of a service cut.

PJ has a history of twisting words - it's OK, I forgive him. He is correct in stating that I have a history of supporting smaller government, and for that I am proud. My point here is that ObamaCare will have severe consequences to the economy when the individual mandate kicks in. If it cuts government spending, it may not all be bad - but many people will lose their employee paid health insurance and this is not a good thing for the people involved.

By the way, I think we could save more government money if we did not have teachers unions opposing a bill that would not allow child molesters from teaching in the classroom:

Why Would Teachers Unions Oppose this?

Too bad teachers have no choice in most locations except to be represented by the likes of the NEA and others.

How many full time public teachers do you know of are not covered by health insurance already...pre Obamacare? I cant anecdotally name even one.

So when Jphelan gives a list of employer cutbacks....that is overwhelmingly comprised of public education organizations....do you think that's due to cuts in their funding from the government? Or is that due to a mandate that those teachers be given insurance they already have?

I'll hum the Jeopardy tune while you write down your answer.
The teachers union is in the democratic party's as well as obama's pocket. We just received a list of who they are supporting in next week's local election - all democrats.

They are dependent on the democrats to keep an unlimited source of tax money headed to the schools under the guise of helping our children, but the real truth is to get more money for themselves.

So if Obama says obamacare is great, they go along with the program
I'll let you and Jphelan argue about the wisdom of cutting revenues to the public school system. But you should at least be honest and confess that teachers who already had health insurance before Obamacare arent suddenly having their hours cut back because they coninue to get that same benefit
And this one can't possibly be finished yet. Unfortunately some people lost focus and let this one slide. So here's the "up". No need to thank me, glad to help.
