Obamacare is a Money-Machine, . . .

As always poor old DonDiego stands ready to accept any meaningful critique or objection to the content of any source which he cites. In fact that's why he cites them; DonDiego does not have the resources to personally investigate everything, so he reads lots of sources, . . . and cites them so others may judge the accuracy.

(DonDiego notes that alanleroy has already provided a Government source which forkushV may find more acceptable. Personally DonDiego finds some Government sources are less credible than media sources, . . . and inevitably less entertaining.)
The absolute only thing Forkie has left is attacking sources and namecalling. How utterly pathetic.
Before Obamacare, as a sole proprietor, it was very tough to get decent health insurance in NY State. The last year, I was paying $892 a month, with a $50 deductible for doctors visits and $15 per prescription after a $50 annual deductible. The first year of OC, my premiums were $468 and I got a $320 tax credit , so my out of pocket was $148. No deductibles and my prescriptions were free. This year, my premiums went to $529 and my tax credit fell to $220. So should I be outraged that my cost this year more than doubled- from $148 to $309, or rejoice that I'm still saving about $7000 a year from before it started. For 2016, my premiums are currently $55something and my tax credits stayed the same. I'm moving to Nevada so I will need new insurance. Policies look pretty good so far.
You can look at one example - or you can look at collective data. Or if you are Boilerman you can make up a story about your friend, Nick.
2016 premium increases

For all of the board's Medicare enrollees (DonDiego) - please enjoy your 55% discount on brand name prescription drugs in 2016 thanks to the ACA (Paul Ryan and all his cohorts voted to take that away earlier this week). I'm sure Obama extends a big "You're Welcome"

And for all the boards Kentucky residents - great news! Your recently elected governor who ran his campaign on killing Obamacare is doing absolutely nothing of the sort. Turns out he lied about all that. Isn't there a thread on this board about "hypocrisy" or something?

The new Kentucky governor is just taking a page out of the Obeyme political playbook - lying seems to be the way to get elected....
On the bleak side - Obamacare does not address the costs of DrMilled's over-the-counter meds.

I am glad you had a positive experience; I did not. I dropped my Obamacare for 2016. I couldn’t afford the out of pocket. The marketplace estimator they added this year calculates my out of pocket costs to be just under 24k a year, and that is after I pay premiums. What I was looking at in 2016 was having to come up with an additional 30k for medical treatment on Obamacare.
I am always amused by the false narrative that OC costs are lower when much higher deductibles and out of pocket costs are not considered. Sure , if you don't use it it's cheap . But if you do get out a tube of your favorite lube . Bob

You know nothing is more delightful when they send the jackals to your room when you are still in the hospital to ask you how you plan to pay your bill. Deadpan I say, “I don’t.” The looks on their faces is always priceless.

Oh gawd, does he actually think that "outlier" is an insult?
