Obamacare Rates Increasing, . . . no,really ! They really are.

Requests to raise premiums have to be agreed upon by the authorities in each state. Insurance companies seeking huge premium hikes has been a standard practice for decades....including last year when DonDiego falsely predicted those requests would manifest themselves into policy. And its deja vu all over again.

But one thing is for sure....some states will raise premiums more than others. And we can expect DonDiego to cherry pick the largest of those increases and use it to paint with broad brush the entire program.

Whoops! No need to predict - he already did it in this thread.
And PJ will continue to deny the fact that rates will continue to rise- and he will cherry pick the LOWEST of those increases and use it to paint with a broad brush the entire program.
Pj and his gang continue to deny that increases are happening. Oregon thinks some of the increases are NOT high enough.

Remember we were promised that premiums would go DOWN!
Increases have happened every year for decades. They have increased at their smallest pace since the " job killing healthcare law" was passed. What will 2016 look like? I dont know....and neither do the people on this board that have predicted 100 other false prophecies about the law.

pjstroh has a problem with the New York Times, . . . not poor old DonDiego.

i. The initial post in this thread indicated most clearly what premium increases were requested and what premium increases had been implemented. DonDiego added the boldface specifically to forestall any objection such as pjstroh has now lodged.

ii. DonDiego does not investigate these matters personally on-site with the State officials; nor does he predict how the requests manifest themselves into policy. DonDiego has neither the time nor the inclination nor the necessary resources to do so.

iii. DonDiego does not cherry-pick the projected increases. This post documents each requested/granted increase as presented in the New York Time article.

iv. This is why DonDiego provides references.

v. Poor old DonDiego once again requests that discussion of issues of some importance is best served by refraining from imputing unsavory motives to others and sticking to the discussion of the issues. There is, thus, likely to be more enlightenment and less hurt feelings.

Golly! And to think that the opponents to socialized medical care complained years ago that prices would skyrocket. Who would have thunk it.
DonDIego picks the premiums of one state instead of looking at all 50 states... but rest assured, Don Diego is not cherry picking data. Perhaps he prefers strawberries

DonDiego requests pjstroh cite the "one state" which poor old DonDiego "picked".
[n.b. DonDiego counts no fewer than 11 States referenced in the original post, . . . all cited in the New York Times.]

DonDiego points out, . . . yet again, . . . that the topic of the thread is Obamacare rate increases sought across the Country, . . . not DonDiego. He respectfully requests posters respond to the topic instead of bitching at poor old DonDiego for quoting the New York Times. The New York Times chose to discuss these States, not DonDiego. DonDiego's recollection is that the New York Times generally endorses The Obama.
(Is this shifting the topic to personal recriminations some sort of debate technique taught to empower those who do not want to research the topic to belittle those with whom they disagree?)

If someone would like to discuss poor old DonDiego, he requests he initiate a thread making clear that that is the topic; DonDiego is too modest to do so himself.

Some people thought that Medicare wouldn't be such a good thing.

That is because the Feds pick up the increased costs. Within a few years Medicare, SS & interest payments will consume 100% of the tax revenue. There will not be any money for anything else.
