sorry for chiming in to a question not directed at me....

But isnt individual responsibility exactly the principal that led the Heritage Foundation to draw up a healthcare system anchored by an individual mandate for people to buy insurance?

Hmm, . . . pjstroh "chimed in" on a question, . . . but neglected to answer it.

DonDiego researched pjstroh's question anyway. The history and present position of the Heritage Foundation on this matter can be found here: "Dont Blame Heritage . . ."

What difference does it make what Heritage Foundation thinks anyway?
DonDiego speaks for DonDiego; DonDiego cannot fathom how one can favor individual responsibility [and the consequences of exercising it, to include not doing something] and a Government command that everyone must purchase health insurance.

Oh, . . . to continue the new tradition of citing a source with which one believes the opposition is infatuated, . . . here's what CNBC had to say about IRS enforcement of the mandate tax-penalty:
"What the IRS can actually enforce, . . . seems a difficult question.
The law severely limits the agency's ability to collect penalties. It can ask for the money, but there are no civil or criminal penalties for refusing to pay it. The IRS cannot seize bank accounts or dock wages to collect it. No interest accumulates for unpaid penalties. The law allows the IRS to withhold tax refunds to collect the penalty but only if someone overpaid taxes.
And the IRS is still working on procedures for taxpayers to prove they have insurance."
[DonDiego also continues the pjstroh tradition of not providing a reference.]

Hmm, . . . when is a mandate, not a mandate? When one can get away without paying a penalty?

DonDiego sez: "Always check one's links." forkushV has one too many "https"s.

Why does forkushV not want individuals to be responsible for themselves, . . . instead of signing onto compulsory Government schemes promising they'll be taken care of ?
Ask your friends.

Uh-Oh !

It seems forkushV is spreading false propaganda, . . . or at least posting faked photographs. But wouldn't that be unlikely considering forkush's acumen regarding digital photography and metadata and stuff like that there?
Hmm, . . . DonDiego says false propaganda it is !

Even to poor old DonDiego's eyes something about the photo posted by forkush above seemed , . . . well, . . . umm, . . . fishy. Or to put a finer point on it: FALSE. Why DonDiego suspects the reader can detect a not-particularly-subtle, umm, . . . difference in the sign centered in forkushV's photograph. It seems fuzzy, . . . out-of-focus compared to all the other signs, . . . or, perhaps, PHOTOSHOPPED.

Anyway, DonDiego became suspicious, . . . and looked for a clue as to how he might find the TRUTH of the matter. Hmm, . . . it looks like a political rally, . . . but where? The folks in the photo seem unhappy with President Obama and a spendthrift Congress.
Ahh, . . . there! Luckily although, as is usual with forkushV, there was no reference or link there was a designation: "rmnj.org"

And, indeed, there is a website at rwnj.org : "RWNJ Conservative Views from Cincinnati". Hmm, . . . Cincinnati. Hmm, . . . "conservative". Why these folks could be DonDiego's friends, . . . except DonDiego's friends know Medicare is a Government program and don't damn other folks for their politics.

And, . . . after an exhausting search, . . . sure enough the photograph in question is there ! But, . . .but, . . . could DonDiego's suspicions be justified? Why, yes, . . .yes they can, . . . and they are!

Ref: Cincinnati Tea Party Pictures

The not-so-subtle difference in focus is gone.
And not so surprisingly, it's not a sign suggesting ignorant rally goers don't know Medicare is a Government program at all. It's just an expression of disapproval of the election of President Obama. And it doesn't condemn anyone to Hell.

From the website:
"I reserve all rights to all photographs on this site. Re-use specifically for other blogs or news articles is fine as long as you provide credit back to this site. If you want to use them for another purpose, contact me directly prior to use. All photos that are not my own are linked back to the source to which they came from, so use of those photos is per the discretion of thier respective owners."
The above correct photograph is hereby acknowledged to be from the rwnj.org website.

Maybe somebody should start keeping a file on LVA posters, . . . sorta to document when they present something erroneous, or just something one disagrees with, or maybe when false/doctored/fake posts are presented with no reference or link to check the veracity.
Nah! One would hafta be a crazy man to act like that !
I just like funny pictures. Of course you know the old saying simple minds simple pleasures.

Oh heavens! But actually the first time I mistakenly posted a photoshopped image here it was even more embarrassing:

Maybe I should just stick to video.

Or you can just take a lesson from Don Diego's school of defending false propaganda. Just use nebulous connections to discredit the source used to confront your post. Don Diego did a masterful job of this on the "Unaffordable Care Act Thread" where he claimed the FactCheck.org link used to refute his claim could not be trusted because one of their founders donates money to the same charity President Obama does.

Links still won't work if one includes too many "http"'s. Education is hard.

pjstroh is mistaken.
DonDiego made no comment on anyone donating money to any charity. DonDiego does not know of any monetary donations to the subject charities.
DonDiego suggests a remedial reading course for pjstroh.

What DonDiego did write was FactCheck.org is "funded by the Annenberg Foundation which also funded the Chicago Annenberg Challenge a "charity" with which Bill Ayers - founder of the communist revolutionary "Weather Underground" which conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings - worked. And the Board of which was chaired by Barack Obama."
[boldface added - DD]
So, Bill Ayers worked with the charity of which Barack Obama was chairman. He briefed the Board on several occasions.

In November 1993, Barack Obama became a founding Director of the Woods Fund of Chicago, and served as a Director for nine years until December 2002. Bill Ayers served as a Director of the Woods Fund of Chicago from December 1999 until December 2008.
So, Bill Ayers was a Co-Director of the Woods Fund of Chicago with Barack Obama.

And, for the record who is Bill Ayers?
__Bill Ayers co-founded The Weather Underground in 1969. As such he signed the organizations Founding Manifesto:
"The most important task for us toward making the revolution, and the work our collectives should engage in, is the creation of a mass revolutionary movement...akin to the Red Guard in China, based on the full participation and involvement of masses of people...with a full willingness to participate in the violent and illegal struggle."
[boldface added - DD]
The Weather Underground subsequently conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings, including police stations, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the Pentagon, during the 1960s and 1970s in response to U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

[What would Factcheck.org think of Mr. Ayers co-founding of The Weather Underground? Luckily, they've answered that question: ". . . the description of Ayers as a 'terrorist' is a matter of interpretation. Setting off bombs can fairly be described as terrorism, . . . But for nearly three decades since, Ayers has lived the relatively quiet life of an educator. It would be correct to call him a 'former terrorist,' and an 'unapologetic' one at that." Ahh, . . . so much for unbiased analysis.]

__in 1995 Mr. Ayers hosted a get-to-know-the-candidate coffee/fundraiser at his home for Mr. Obama's initial campaign for the Illinois Sate Senate.
__In 2008 Mr. Ayers stated that he didn't even know Obama when he hosted the coffee.

__In 2008, as the long association between Barack Obama and Bill Ayers surfaced during a Presidential Campaign, Senator Obama and Mr. Ayers engaged in a campaign of, . . . umm, distancing themselves from one another. Two weeks before the election it required actual lying, . . . when Candidate Obama's spokesperson Robert Gibbs stated on MSNBC [Duh!] :"No, he [Mr. Ayers] did not have a fundraiser for [Barack Obama]. That is a myth that has been debunked by the Chicago and the national media." Chris Matthews bought it.
__In October 2011 Mr. Ayers speaking before a Chicago teachers' organization stated that in 1995 he'd "hosted a little fundraiser for [Obama]", . . . and the room erupted in laughter. The lies had worked.

Nonetheless, DonDiego made no comment on anyone donating money to any charity. DonDiego does not know of any monetary donations to the subject charities. So he could not make any comment.

[As is traditional with pjstroh, DonDiego adopts the policy of providing no links or references. The reader will just have to take his word for it.]
