October Snow Storm !!!!

I'm So Glad to be in Work Today.......

Got 10 inches of snow Saturday. Some other areas got over 30 inches.

Since the leaves are still on the trees,
the snow was too heavy causing the limbs to break, downing the power lines.

Lost power since Saturday night, and don't know when I'm getting it back.

Was 24* outside this morning.

No Heat. 45* inside this morning.

No Electric.

No Water (we have a well that needs electric)

Just about everyone I've talked to at work has no power.

Here in Massachusetts alone there are 665,000 without power.

Oh yeah, .................. the snowblower broke yesterday because the snow was so wet and heavy.

I am in Mass too, but did not lose power, just cable for a couple hours.
I was in Vegas last week, and it was Sunny 88 degrees. Another reason, I should relocate to the Greatest city in the world.

Oh Ya, I loved Miami +10, and Philly over Dallas. San Diego tonite would have completed my winning 3 team parlay.

Massachusetts is getting 3 casinos, but it doesn't mean anything without sports betting. They are useless.
Thats like going to the Bellagio Buffet with a broken jaw.

Speaking of San Diego,

.............. I have made up my mind to MOVE !!!! ..... ..... and it will be in the San Diego area.

This may take months to complete, as it will involve buying/selling houses, getting new jobs, etc, etc, etc,

...... but I have spent my last winter here.

WOW! Good for you, Rick!

Snow and cold are those things that you "never get used to"....in fact, it gets harder to tolerate with age.

San Diego has some of the best weather in the continental U.S. It would definitely be on my Top 5 list.

Just think....L.V. only 5 hours away!

Dan, I sent you a PM.

Good luck Rick. San Diego is a beautiful place with amazing boring sunny weather. I'm not trying to keep you away or anything. I was born and raised here in SD. Love it, has all four seasons. Winter mountain snow 20 miles away, sunny beach weather whenever you want.

I have a picture from last year when I went to Scripps Pier with my girlfriend on a nice sunny day in shorts. Then another pic from the mountains (snowy day) in my snow gear all in the same day lol.
I feel your pain Rick. I live in Northeast Ohio with the dreaded lake effect snow. But I do enjoy the other three seasons...winter sucks. Visited San diego earlier this year...very nice! Good luck!

.......... and I'll be able to drive to Vegas in less time than it now takes me to fly there.

Rick
well we live in SD and it get cold here at night also. It's not the freezing cold like in Mass., but it still gets cold compared to what we're used to at times. It still gets into the 40's-50's at night which is cold in these parts. I just bought a space heater yesterday because my bedroom is so cold. We don't have the same insulation as people do back east, so the homes are colder than usual.

We really don't need more people out here, but you're welcome to come here Rick. It's really tough seeing the ocean and surfers every day. LOL!
