OFF Strip Hotel SUggestions

Planning May trip. Want to spend 2 days \ nights in a off strip hotel.
I will have car, and we have already tried Red Rock, so that is out.
Importanmt things to us in may will be
Pool, Rooms, Restaurants. Money not a huge issue

Which would you choose for a couple days and for what reason ?

M Resort
Southpoint
Green valley
Alliente

Thats easy, South Point it's a nice place with great rooms for the price, close to Silverton and outlet mall.
Not that far to Green Valley Ranch.
I second South Point, especially for the Pool area.
Big thumbs up to M Resort. Much nicer rooms and casino than Southpoint.

M Resort is less than 4 miles down Las Vegas Blvd. from Southpoint.I would have to agree with Roulette Man about M being the nicer place than Southpoint. On my January trip the video poker was much better to me at the M than it was at Southpoint.Southpoints breakfest buffet was the best one I had on the trip, and M's dinner buffet was the best dinner one I had(twice).Either place you can't go wrong,it's a easydrive back and forth between the two.
You can not go wrong with either the SP or M.

Both have nice setups for food and gaming. Rooms are probably alittle nicer at M.

Pool vote would also go to the M.

Nice choices!
Out of my 12 trips to Vegas South Point has been my choice the last 3 years . Love the place . Especially if you have a car you can go to M and Silverton within 10 mins.
They just opened a new Racebook and Sports book.
Great place .
The rooms at M and the pool area at M are much nicer than Southpoint. I think the restaurants are comparable. The only advantage I see with Southpoint is that it is a few miles closer to the other strip hotels.
I would also give a thumbs up to M-Resort over Southpoint but I dont think you'll be miserable at either place.

I might also throw the Rampart Marriott into the list. Rooms are about as nice as anywhere in town and they have a good pool - a really good pool (go to their website)....and the older clientele makes the pool less likely to be overrun with brats. Lots of restaurant choices between Rampart and SunCoast accross the street.
I've found some incredible low rates for Alliante on travelaxe - like $28 for some weekdays in April.
