Off to Vegas on March 1

I'm going to deservingly catch shit over this one. Long story, but we didn't make the show. Bummer.

Two days in Vegas, two drinks total, and 45 minutes of blackjack. I'm up $8. I have a business breakfast at 8am, and a 11:00am conference call.

I hope to be making up for lost time by 11:45am.

If you tell us that you went to go see Britney Spears or Backstreet Boys instead, then you are in trouble.

Okay Boiler still owes the board an explanation of why he didn't go to see Joe Walsh.
You made me laugh out loud, and luckily, we did not see Britney nor the Backstreet Boys. We had an early dinner schedule with a prospective customer, and lots of business discussion happened, followed by lots of drinks followed by more business talk, and more drinks. Finally it was a bunch of drunk guys hanging out. This camaraderie with a potential new customer superseded "The Mad Bomber". My boss I must have agreed, as neither of us brought it up to the customer. This all ended at about 9:30pm, and Joe was to hit the stage at 8:45pm. It would have also taken time to get to the Cosmpolitan to the Mandalay................................so we kissed it off.

It is a shame, however, life's been good to me so far.

: ) Too funny!

I was in Vegas the same time as you - at the RIO.
Regarding the (no longer cheap) car rentals; you might consider using Lyft on your next trip. That's what I used this last trip and it worked like a charm. Our Lyft driver was st the valet practically before we could get out there! And no matter where we went the charge was usually about $7.50! There's been controversy on whether it's necessary to tip the driver. We always did tip at least 20%..... Give it a try!
Possibly I should have done that. We would have made 12 Lyft rides, but saved the $170 for the rental, parking fees, and valet tips. Parking at with the Mandalay valet and walking to the convention center is no bargain. It's maybe a 15 minute walk, and then another 15 minute walk once in the convention center.

Lyft would have cut that 30 minute total in half.

Live and learn!
