Office guide to gift exchanges at office Christmas parties

Any bottle of booze always seems to be a "re-grabber".
We have a $10 limit on our presents and the exchange rules are the same stated by Roulette Man. My wife put a nix on my idea - while somewhat "off" I thought hilarious.

Enema kit with a towel.
We used to do the exchange following the same rules as Roulette Man but there were some cultural issues and we had to stop. The Asian people at work wouldn't take anyone's present and risk making anyone mad. They were very uncomfortable with the whole concept.
No longer do this at my company. Too much time, and you wouldn't believe all the bitching about people not spending the designated money on the gift. So, now we just have a nice Christmas lunch. Now, we do a white elephant on Christmas Day with the adults in my family. The catch is...don't buy it...re-gift it. Something received that you don't want. It's a lot of fun.

We call this Pirate Christmas. Fun.
My IT dept just had our XMAS lunch and white elephant exchange yesterday.
The unopened Yanni CD is now in it's 7th year, and was the last gift chosen...in a large bag.
(I would have never guessed.)

What a hoot!

The Starbucks cards get stolen alot.
Despise any of those work gift swaps. Sorry. Bah humbug.

One year one of my friends at work got stuck with a bookmark. Yeah, the bookmark cost $20 as part of a charity thing but it was still a bookmark.
