Okay I am going to give Verizon FiOS a try

Here is the deal

New Triple Play $99.99
• FiOS Digital Voice Unlimited
• FiOS TV Prime HD
• FiOS Internet 50/25
• $10 24 Mo. Bundle Credit Included
• $10 Special Bundle 12 Mo. Credit Included
• $5 24-Month Contract Discount Included
New Multi-Room DVR - High Definition $19.99 per month - Free for 12 months Fee Waived
New Digital Adapter 2 @ $5.99 $11.98
Subtotal $111.97
Taxes, Fees and Other Verizon Charges
$11.54
Regional Sports Network Fee $2.42
Estimated Monthly Charges
(Do not pay. This is not an actual bill.) $125.93

I negotiated $20.00 off of the base price so instead of my cost being $125.93 a month it will be $105.93. Plus I will get a $100.00 Visa gift card after 90 days of service. I was hesitant about the two year contract but I have 30 days to try it out and cancel if I am not happy.

I couldn’t pass this one up. I currently have Bright house and my internet is 10/1 and my TV is the basic package with only one convertor box (no DVR). I currently don’t have a landline through my cable carrier. I know some of you wonder why I even bother with a landline. For various reasons I still send some faxes once in a while and I also like to give my landline number out when some business dealings require a phone number. So I am getting much more bandwidth, a DVR, two convertor boxes and a phone line for one dollar less a month than I currently pay. Granted it is only for one year on the DVR and two years on the rest but I will deal with that when the time comes.
Read that fine print.
I'll be interested how it wrks out for you. Verizon is offering the exact same package here I'm just curious to get other opinions.

I never thought I'd want or need a DVR or any such device but that thing is about the handiest device to come along in a while. We only have it 'cause they gave it to us free after some screw up and we're actually going to see about getting another for the bedroom(pretty lame I know).

I will be sure to report back how it goes. I am the one of the last ones of my friends to make the switch. They all love it so we will see how it goes.

I will say for the remainder of the month I am keeping my current provider hooked up just to be on the safe side.
