On/near strip for 21st birthday

I'm used to not paying for rooms, having stayed at MSS and SP. However, my daughter who turns 21 next March may want to be on/near the strip. I'd have a hard time bringing myself to spend bucks on a room, but if I have to, what would be a good reasonable option.

She's also a fairly practical kid, and if I say....hey I can get a free suite at SP which would allow us more $$ to spend on other things, she might go for that.

I just told my wife I'd research options. :-)

She'll be telling her friends about her birthday trip, so it has to be the Strip!

And hopefully a room with a Strip view for her.

I've seen decent adds on TV recently for Treasure Island (TI), inclusive of some things other than just the room (of which my memory fails at the moment). TI is on the Strip and has some features that would appeal to her age group. You might even get a deal that would include tickets to Mystere, still the best classic Cirque show IMO. Check out the web site and sign up.

Note that March can be tough due to March Madness. Start searching now, try to nail down a good rate if you find one this early on.

If you haven't already, sign up on the web sites of all Strip hotels you might be interested in. You might get some decent offers that way.
I'd vote for TI.

You can probably find cheap rooms at Luxor, if you get one in the pyramid. I haven't stayed there in a few years, and last time I stayed was in a tower room. The pyramid rooms were really starting to look run down. I would think the Excalibur would have cheap rooms too.
I just asked my seventeen year old daughter which she would recommend. We have been to Vegas four times and she is quite the Vegas traveler at this point. She recommends staying on the strip. Especially if it's her first time to Vegas. She said if she could pick any place to stay, she'd like to stay at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay (she's actually visited a room there but did not stay) or Aria because she'd like to try them or at Mirage because she's stayed there before and really liked it. The places we've stayed before are Planet Hollywood, Green Valley Ranch, Flamingo, MGM Signature Suites and The Mirage to give you an idea of the places she has experience with. I think the worst stay we've had is when we were off strip at GVR. The casino was small and tight and we didn't have much free time to go anywhere else. But, that probably won't be an issue for you. When I stayed at the Mirage last summer I played with my players club card one afternoon just to use the free play that I got from the MyVEgas app. I doubt I spent more than $200 and I've been getting pretty decent offers from them for rooms (about $50 a night). You could probably earn a discounted rate by playing MyVegas too.

the Hotel is no longer there. It is now a boutique hotel called The Delano. The Mandalay Bay is one of my favorite hotels, but I regrettably will not stay there if there is paid parking.
Her birthday is the 11th of March, which is a Saturday. I'll have to look ahead to see if March Madness is starting that weekend

Other thing we considered is the Palms. I haven't been there for a while but I used to get free room offers from them. It's not ON the strip but it's a helluva lot closer and kinda hip for youngsters

Now owned (or will be owned by her birthday) by Station Casinos. I don't think they would do any drastic changes to the hotel.
May not be March Madness but it would be Pac 12 conf tourney at MGM and MVC at Thomas and Mack if they haven't moved it to the new Arena by Monte Carlo..
Wait the Palms is going to be bought by Stations? Hmmmm.

Pac-12 tourney might make that fun. We are all DUCKS fans

I've been to the Monte Carlo. Kind of liked it. Might have to do some research. I just think she's gonna want to be close to stuff. On the other hand, if SP is willing to comp me the 1500sqft 2-bedroom suite again, that's kind of hard to pass up. Frees up money for a Cirque show
If my first trip to Vegas (a long time ago) hadn't been for a bowling tournament at the old Showboat, I would have stayed on the strip. If I could go back and change it, I would have thrown around the cash and stayed some place really nice. Being there for something serious and having to have a little self control, kind of killed the magic of my first trip. I say GO FOR IT!!!!
