??? on Papa Murphys Take and Bake Pizza

I've never heard of 'em either
No stores in my area of SE Florida, although there are stores in Florida.

I rarely buy "u bake em" pizzas. Maybe twice per year from the frozen pizza section at the grocer.

I feel that my oven just does not bake a pie "right" no matter what, so for me, pizza comes from the better pizza stores. Papa John's is my current choice.

Sorry, I do not see any "value" of going to a specialty store for pizza, than having to bake it when I get home. Experience has taught me that I can't do it justice baking at home, and I might actually burn it, which really would PO me.

Heh.

I'm not a big fan of Papa Murphy's, although my parents and friends like it. They coupon a LOT. I don't know if that's just to keep reminding people about their stores, or if it's because they're struggling for business.
There are coupons on their site, and other sites as well. Finding a coupon should not be difficult.

I'm not sure comparing a frozen pizza to a fresh made pizza is a very fair comparison. I'm not sure why you have difficulty cooking frozen pizza, but why would you assume the same problem would apply to a non-frozen one?
Here is a tip I was given for cooking a frozen pizza.
60 seconds in the microwave, then drizzle some olive oil around the top of the pizza. Cook it in the oven until the cheese is beginning to turn brown. Slice the pizza into at least six slices and let it sit a few minutes after you slice it.

I do not cook a frozen pizza when frozen. I allow them to thaw, than bake. Just that, to me, they do not seem close enough to a prepared and delivered or picked up pizza.

Part of the problem is I just seem to burn them no matter what I do. And I use an alarm timer when cooking. Pizza seems to be the only thing I've tried cooking and often ruin.

Oh well. I'll stick to Papa John's.

I only replied in this thread to express my personal point of view.

Thats your problem right there. A frozen pizza is not meant to be thawed, then cooked. You can lightly microwave it, or allow it to thaw for the time it takes to pre-heat your oven, but don't fully thaw it out. If you are cooking a thawed out pizza and following the directions for a frozen pizza, you will tend to burn them.
The wife just called and said she picked up Papa Murphy's on the way home from work today. I will post a live eating report at approximately 9:30 CST.
I haven't had Papa Murphy's. But I have a question:

How much does one save by baking it themselves rather than what I would assume are superior ovens for cooking pizza.

Who would have thought that Take and Bake Pizza's would get this many responses?
