How much does one save by baking it themselves rather than what I would assume are superior ovens for cooking pizza.

It's about half the price of a regular pizza joint, but the selling point is more than just the price.

I like their Cowboy Pizza also. However; I don't understand how they stay in business. The one I go to in Illinois never has more than 3 people waiting in line to order a pizza. I also have noticed that there are only two employees working in the store.
I have not heard of these folks either. I went to their store locator and the closest one is about 100 miles away. I think I will pass.

One of the major selling points of these franchises is the small staff needed to run them. Low overhead is the key to many successful businesses.

I used to buy Papa Murphy's all the time when I lived in Portland (Oregon), and Ellensburg (Washington). We have one in Yuma now, but haven't tried it yet. Since they are a franchise, assume they all are the same. Think the pizza is pretty good. Definitely better than any brand of frozen pizza or grocery store fresh pizza. I would favor Papa Murphy's over Domino's, but like Papa John's better. Doesn't measure up to the best pizza parlor pizzas, but better than many of the chain places. Low cost, pretty good, and very easy and quick to bake. I recommend it.
I have their number stored in my cell phone to call ahead on nights when we are busy. I can feed my family of 4 for about half of what McDonalds or a similar fast food joint would cost. Plus, there's leftovers. I do have a PTA meeting tonight. That would give me a good excuse to order one;-)
