opinions of "pre-set" slot tourney winners

Invited to our local casino yearly slot tourney that has a prize pool of $150K of which the winner gets 100K. Having played in other slot tourneys there I always wondered if they are rigged. What makes me think so? Well if not, why don't you just draw a number out prior to each round as to what machine you will play on. Instead of the machines being "pre-selected". Perhaps pre-selection is done to have the computer to tally all 4 rounds to each player. Might have the tourney run on time and less chance for mistakes. This tourney has 4 rounds. I hope this would not be the case but one always wonders.
Seems years ago, a Harrahs casino back east was caught rigging a drawing for a car. They were fined and not sure the person they announced had won really ended up getting the car after all.
I used to like slot tourneys at Harrah's years ago, and never had the feeling any were rigged. You stood in line and drew your own number right before each round.

But, I played in one tourney, last year, not a Harrah's casino, that I highly suspect. I'll not name the 'suspect' casino because I can't prove anything.

The tournament "DJ" kept flirting with/cheering on/teasing certain (very attractive) "sisters" during all three of the rounds I was in.

Anyway, guess who won? Yes, the "sisters" got the top two scores/prizes. Last time I'll ever do a tourney at that place.

P.S. It wasn't at Wynn, either. I note this because I have posted about playing in tourneys at Wynn.
From past experience in slot tourneys and drawings, I believe the higher you are rated as a player you're more likely to win. Two weeks ago I went to a Casino that was having a promotion. Players were given a box of chocolates with a gift inside, after earning so many points that day. I had been playing a couple of hours with average bets of $130 per hand playing two hands, (6 card Pai Gow). My box of Chocolates had $1,000 cash in it. The Players club attendant dug down into 4 rows of chocolates to get my box. I've been a finalist in drawings for new cars, I've won cash drawings and I believe it's because of the amount of action I give to the casinos. My opinion is, yes, they are rigged.
I concur.
Some years back I think I recall that the Venetian/Pal got in trouble when they rigged a car drawing so that one of their whales "won" the car.

I forget how it was found out, other than it would be rather obvious to anyone with a brain.

that is kind of how I have suspected they turn out.

would like to ask the winner of $100K if they are 7 stars.
That's a crying shame!

The big bettors win the good prizes? Damn. cjen3349 spelled it out, right there.
Been to a few "tournaments" and never felt that they were "rigged".
Most.... displeased to hear that information.

Thanks for the post.
The other ones that raised my eyebrows, also.
Skill don't win? What about the little bettors...

Favoritism,I guess. Shameful,indeed.
3 rounds of a tournament,lasting 3-5 hours total. Monkee-vomit fair rules.
Although invited to many CET tourneys, I hate the long lines, so don't play in them. Boyd and Stations are much more relaxed and fun, especially Boyd...think Sams Town. At all of them you select numbers just before you play each round...rather difficult to fix.
