The Original Bacchanal at Caesars

Talking about Caesars, made me think about the original Bacchanal feast, not the buffet many know today. It was a multi-course dinner, where wine goddesses poured wine, fed you grapes and gave little massages. And I remember my first experience in fine dining was at the wonderful Palace Court. Anyone else remember this resturant or the private casino right outside?
I had friends who raved about it. He even had his picture (for a fee) taken with the wine goddesses.
I won a bet and the payoff was a meal at any restaurant so I picked to go the Bacchanal feast, it was like $75.00 which sounded high at the time but I think it was worth it. The wine goddesses would never let you wine glass get below half empty so I have no idea how much wine I drank. I still have the little scrolls with the meal description on it.
My wife and I were there Aug. 1,1984. The reason we know the date is it was our 25th. anniversary. It was our first trip to Las Vegas and our first trip with out any of our children. We have gone every year since then. We now go twice a year in the spring and fall. We couldn't take the July and Aug. heat now. we could when we were in our 20 and 30. A friend at work had recommended The Bacchanal. It was GREAT. We also got our picture taken and it hangs n our dining room. I like to be reminded how we looked when we were 20.
