Ahh, . . . MSNBC, . . . there's a neutral source, . . . NOT.

Once again poor old DonDiego counsels patience.
As DonDiego has already posted, The Obama has spoken: "We’ve reached no definitive judgment on the precise motivations of the killer."
Nonetheless, even without precise knowledge of the suspected killer and his as yet unknown motive(s), DonDiego finds the comment of alanleroyII especially cogent and convincing:

Recognizing that the Constitution guarantees American citizens the right to own firearms, alanleroyII suggests the Government cannot suspend this right on a whim, by just placing someone's name on a list. DonDiego has always thought alanleroyII wise and mature, . . . as is a fully aged cheese.

DonDiego finds it a mite queer that some citizens, presumedly less well-informed than The Obama, already have figured it all out and come up with a solution: take away someone's guns. It's almost as though these folks ascribe to the views of Mr. Rahm Emanuel, the American philosopher and current Mayor of the American city likely to set a new record for homicides this year: "You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."

But NAH ! No one could be so callous as to use the deaths of 50 American citizens to advance one's political agenda.
The Obama: "We’ve reached no definitive judgment on the precise motivations of the killer."

Ahh, . . . DonDiego has uncovered a clue:

FBI interviewed Orlando shooting suspect 3 times
The FBI conducted three interviews of the man suspected of killing 50 people early Sunday morning in an Orlando nightclub, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

An official said the FBI first became aware of the suspect, Omar Mateen, 29, in 2013 when he made "inflammatory comments to coworkers alleging possible terrorist ties."
In the course of that investigation, Mateen was interviewed twice, but the FBI was unable to verify the substance of his comments.

The FBI interviewed Mateen, who was killed in Sunday's shootings, again in 2014. In that investigation, the FBI was looking into possible ties between Mateen and an American suicide bomber. The FBI determined that the contact did not constitute a threat at the time.

Poor old DonDiego recommends The Obama be notified immediately.

Its a good thing we have people like DonDiego in the country who demand we reach conclusions and take action before all the facts are available. There's no time to be thoughtful. We need a knee-jerk reaction fueled by the emotional state of trigger happy neo-cons who want to get some payback.

Its exactly that kind of brave leadership that led us into the greatest foreign policy triumph in US history- the Iraq War.

How the hell did he keep his job as a security guard after comments and a FBI investigation? Was the employer more concerned with litigation then doing the right thing and terminating him?

Couldn't agree with you more. Damn neocons jumping to conclusions....

"It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well, effects American security.

This is a very difficult vote, this is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Any vote that might lead to war should be hard, but I cast it with conviction."

...Suspending the gun rights of those on the Terror Watch list will not have much of an impact on Terrorist Killings. If they can't get a legal gun, they'll get an illegal one...
And if they can't get a legal bomb, they'll get an illegal one.

So your witless argument could be used to argue for legalizing bombs, couldn't it?
So you're arguing to make diesel and fertilizer illegal....and pressure cookers...
Nope. Just pointing out that the old, "If guns are illegal, only criminals will have guns" could be applied to murder, robbery and so on. You know, "If drunk driving is illegal, only criminals will drive drunk." There's some sound logic for you!

In retrospect, calling it witless was too kind.

Huh? Wha? ..I mean, say what? It would appear DonDiego struggles following his own rules of political thread engagement. As he has informed us many times - Its not proper etiquette to question a source.

For example - when posters on this board used "The Federalist" to make the claim that the Clinton Foundation was pocketing 90% of their revenues DonDiego said this to critics of that questionable source:
If the facts as reported are inaccurate, DonDiego suggests forkushV set them straight instead of just suggesting the source is untrustworthy.

Maybe DonDiego figured out that not all reporting is honest.....or maybe he just has double standards

Meaning that folks who are even MORE obviously crazed than the Orlando killer should be able to buy assault weapons, according to the Republicans.

I bet that's not what you meant to say.

DonDiego thanks pjstroh for stating: "Its a good thing we have people like DonDiego in the country . . ."; the sentiment is most kind.
DonDiego requests pjstroh cite DonDiego's demand to "reach conclusions".
DonDiego requests pjstroh cite DonDiego's demand to "take action".
DonDiego requests pjstroh cite poor old DonDiego's mention of seeking "payback".

DonDiego has, in fact, counseled patience repeatedly within this thread.

Once the "facts are available", he may well suggest appropriate actions to thwart such violent criminal incidents in the future.

After congratulating himself for "being right about Muslims" Trump today put the blame squarely on the sitting president of the United States for the massacre of a 50 people in Orlando. Throwing fuel on a fire.

This is the kind of knee-jerk, thoughtless reaction I was referring to. Congratulations, Republicans,
This is the clown you have chosen to lead the country
